We were finally able to experience Tiana's Palace at Disneyland. This Cajun inspired restaurant was the bee's knees! From the Gumbo to the Po'Boy sandwich, we loved it ALL. Grab some man-catching beignets from the Mint Julep Bar for dessert!
Let's talk about a not fun topic, losing things while at Disneyland. On Thursday, my Magic Band was somehow lost between "it's a small world" and the Fantasyland Theater. We didn't realize until we went to scan in for our Lightning Lane. I stopped by a Guest Services tent and they gave me a QR code to scan to make a Lost and Found report. It took a few minutes and there's even a spot to upload a photo of your item. I received an email last night that they had located my Magic Band! I had the option to pick it up or they would mail it to me (if I had already left!)
Now this isn't a guarantee that your item will be found because TONS of things are lost every day. The more detailed the description, the better your odds (and fingers crossed that someone turned it in)!
Did you know there are 52 Toy Story trucks hidden around the Disneyland resort? See if you can find them during Pixar Fest! Now through August 4th you can also experience special Pixar characters, a parade, AND food items.

One of my favorite rides at Universal Studios Florida is E.T. This ride is both nostalgic and creepy (I'm looking at you Magdoll.) It's also the LAST original opening day attraction 😭

"Theme park food is all the same." If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, I would be a millionaire. There are so many delicious options outside of burgers and chicken tenders. For example, in Islands of Adventure, guests can get delicious gyros at Fire Eater's Grill. The best part about this restaurant is they ALSO have chicken tenders. It's the perfect spot to satisfy your whole group!
I love a good fireworks show! The ones aboard Disney Cruise Line are awesome. Have you watched the fireworks onboard?

Happy 90th Birthday Donald Duck! This guy doesn't look a day over 21. Did you know that you can meet Donald in various places throughout Walt Disney World? Our favorite place is the Tusker House restaurant. Not only is the food delicious but you get to see Donald and friends.
The N Family has made it to Italy and tomorrow they embark on Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas for a 7 night Mediterranean Cruise. No, I'm not jealous at all... 😭

Universal released their first IP for 2024! We just watched the first one last night to prepare. I am 💯 going to lose my mind. The quiet jump scares always get me. 😅

Happy Global Running Day! It's June which means it's time for me to do my first runDisney virtual challenge. I signed up for the Dole Whip challenge which means I will do three 5k runs between June 1st and August 31st.
Let's talk dining on the Disney Wish. This is one of my FAVORITE dining locations. Not only is the entertainment engaging but you also get to see Ant-Man and Wasp ... Plus you never know who might stop by. The food is also incredible!

Besides planning amazing vacations, I'm also the counseling secretary at my local high school. Sometimes I struggle with "Am I doing enough? Am I making an impact?" I know that sounds silly, but I'm always trying to be better. I absolutely love it when a client books a second or third trip with me or refers a friend! I also love those end of the school year talks when kids tell me good bye or give me their grad announcement 🥹. Today I was gifted this Scrabble Board from my student aide, Jackson. If you think I didn't burst into tears, you overestimate me 😅.

Let's talk about dessert parties! It seems that people either love them or hate them, there's no middle ground. If your budget allows, I can't recommend them enough! Not only do you get delicious treats, you also get prime viewing of either fireworks or shows (World of Color). I hate waiting around to get prime viewing and then being smooshed by all the people trying to see! But with the dessert party, there is plenty of space. Some dessert parties even offer seated spots! Last September we did the World of Color Dessert Party and had seats. It was so nice to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! So what are your thoughts? I can't recommend Disney MagicBand+ enough for Disneyland trips! It's so much easier to scan in for Lightning Lane and park admission. Disney photographers can also easily scan your band to add pictures to your account. If the crowds are too much on Main Street, consider a spot near "it's a small world" or the Rivers of America.
