Is the QUICK SERVICE DINING PLAN WORTH IT??? Let's find out!!

**Some important things to note**
1. Adults 21 and older may order a beverage with alcohol as part of their quick service meal. Because these beverages cost more than a regular soda, it definitely helps you get more bang for your buck!!
2. Each person in your party with a dining plan will receive a resort, refillable drink mug that costs $21.99 each!! This figure is NOT considered in the scenarios below!!

Scenario One-
Quick service meal #1- Columbia Harbor House, Magic Kingdom
🫓Lobster roll, hush puppies, and frozen lemonade. $24.47
Quick service meal #2- Pecos Bills, Magic Kingdom
🥘Fajita platter and a strawberry limeade slush. This would cost $23.41
Snacking around Disney is quite delicious :) I have never spent one day in Magic 🍦🍦Kingdom without enjoying some dole whip so let’s order a tropical serenade, dole whip float. This delicious treat cost $8.51.
In this scenario, we would pay a total of $56.39.

Scenario Two-
Quick service meal #1- Flame Tree Barbecue, Animal Kingdom
🥘Any time I visit this restaurant, I am going to order the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese. This is not the most expensive thing you can use your credit on so keep in mind there are other items on the menu that will give you more bang for your buck! With this let’s snag an Island Breeze! This beverage is frozen with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum and layers of frozen Mango and Raspberry. Yumm! This meal would cost $26.49.
🍝Quick service meal #2- Let’s fly over to Pandora to the Satu’li Canteen!! I cannot say enough good things about this quick service dining location! Here, let’s order a combination bowl. This includes beef, chicken, slaw, noodles and boba balls. For our drink, we will enjoy a refreshing margarita. This meal would cost $31.49!!!!!
🍦For our snack credit, we are going to Dino-Bite Snacks in DinoLand U.S.A. Here we will cool off with a ginormous Ice Cream Sandwich. $8.83
Our grand total is $66.81!! We beat the dining plan!! Whoop, whoop!

Scenario Three-
Quick service meal #1- At lunch time in Hollywood Studios, you will find me in Andy’s back yard. Yup, you guessed it, we are eating lunch at Woody’s Lunch Box!! 🥘Here, we will enjoy a BBQ Brisket Melt with tots and a “grown up” lemonade. This will cost us $27.29.
🥘Quick service meal #2- It’s time to blast off to Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge. Here we will enjoy a beef stir fry with vegies and a Lager. The veggies make this a healthy choice 🤣 It's all about balance, right? This meal totals $33.49!
☕Snack time is seriously my favorite!! In this scenario, let’s snag a Starbucks coffee! Yup, you read that correctly! You can use your snack credit on any size Starbucks beverage. Here, let's snag a large Carmel Macchiato. This will cost around $6.10.
So, did we beat the dining plan today?? 🥁 We sure did!! Today, we would have spent $66.88 but with the dining plan, we only spent $57.01. 🎉🎉

Scenario Four-
Quick service meal #1- the American Adventure, Epcot
🍖Memphis dry-rub pork ribs, with onion rings and a coke. This meal totals $20.98.
🥙Quick service meal #2- Off to Mexico we go!! Here we will enjoy some tacos and a frozen margarita! This will cost $30.49.
When it comes to snacks in Epcot, good luck choosing just one! Epcot is full of delicious snacks but for this scenario, let’s go to Germany! If you love caramel goodies, you must visit Karamell-Kuche. Here you can indulge a Werther’s Original 🍮Caramel Flight. This tasty treat costs $7.98.
**Also, most festival food can be counted as a snack credit!!!
OK, so, how did we do today?? In total, we would have spent $59.45!! We beat the dining plan again!! 🎉🎉

Scenario five-
In this scenario, we will focus on some Disney Springs locations! I am super excited about this. Disney Springs has TONS of great food options!!
🍕Quick service meal #1- Blaze Fast- Fire'd Pizza.
Let's build our own pizza and grab a beer. This will cost around $18.58
🍲Quick service meal #2- We are going to The Polite Pig. Our entire family LOVES this restaurant and it’s a great place to use a quick service dining credit! Hmm..what should we eat?? How about some Prime Brisket….if you haven’t noticed, I really like Brisket! This comes with cornbread, slaw, and one side. I recommend the whiskey caramelized Brussel sprouts! Sweet tea is always a good choice when eating BBQ. The Polite Pig does offer beverages with alcohol as well. This meal would cost $27.16.
If you order the ribs and a beer, your meal would total $37.28 which is obviously the more bang for your buck choice but I do love me some brisket and sweet tea so for this scenario, that’s what we are sticking with.
🍰And for our SNACK credit, I love sugar so let's visit Amorette's Patisserie!!! There are so many wonderful sweet treats here. It is hard to choose just one! I decided to go with a snack size Mickey Mouse chocolate cake. This cake has dark and white chocolate mousse and costs $9.59. This snack received bonus points in my book because any snack themed Mickey tastes better 🥰🥰
How did we do today?? Our grand without the dining plan is 🥁 $55.33!!!
We did not beat the dining plan today :( BUT if we would have ordered the ribs, we totally would have beat the dining plan!

It's all about strategy!!! :)

Now, let's peek at the kids, quick service dining plan. This dining plan is for guests ages 3-9.

Scenario one- MAGIC KINGDOM
🥪Quick service meal #1- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
Grilled Chicken Sandwich, french fries, apple slices, and Powerade (mountain blast flavor) $8.30
🍕Quick service meal #2- Pinocchio Village Haus
Pepperoni Flatbread, French fries, mandarin orange, and sprite $7.79
🍪Snack Time!
Blondie Pie with chopped TWIX! $7.44
🥁🥁 Our day one grand total is $23.53. Did we beat the dining plan? NO!! We were short .30 BUT don't forget, your kiddos will receive a resort refillable mug so if you take that into consideration, we totally beat the dining plan :)

PRO TIP** always pack zip lock baggies in your park bag for any unfinished snacks :) you can always enjoy them later!

Scenario two- HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Quick service meal #1- Woody's Lunch Box
🥪Turkey Sandwich, tots, tomato-basil soup dipper, and small Dasani water bottle $7.79
Quick service meal #2- Rosie's All-American Cafe
🍗4 piece chicken breast nuggets, strawberry flavored smoothie, cookie, and orange Fanta $9.04
Snack time!!
🍪The FAMOUS Wookiee Cookie $7.23 from Backlot Express!

Alright did we do better today?? Did we beat the dining plan??? 🥁🥁Our total would have been $24.06. We beat the dining plan!! 🎉🎉

Scenario three- EPCOT
Quick service meal #1- Regal Eagle Smokehouse
🍔Cheeseburger, watermelon, Mac & cheese, Sprite $9.04
Quick service meal #2-
🍤Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki with white rice, veggies, cookie, and soda $10.18
🍦IT'S SNACK TIME!! Let's head over to L'Artisan des Glares in France and snag some ice cream! a single scoop of ice cream or sorbet in a waffle cone or cup would cost around $6.12
Our grand total today is 🥁🥁$25.34!! We did it again 🎉🎉

Scenario four- Animal Kingdom
Quick service meal #1- Satu'li Canteen
🍔Cheeseburger steamed pod, chips, mandarin orange, and soda $9.15
Quick service meal #2- Flame Tree Barbecue
