My first time in Chicago ✨️

I now understand the reference that people say all the time: "it's a cleaner New York City." I totally get it now. I love the skyscrapers and the overall architecture in this city. It is indeed surprisingly clean and not so busy to the point that there's no space on the sidewalks to walk.

People in this vibrant city adore sports, you can tell. Now, regarding food, what an incredible experience I've had so far.

Having breakfast at the was a good idea, and walking by the and around the area was lovely. The bars & restaurants overlooking the water are adorable. It reminds me of Europe.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

🌺 Exploring Barranco, Lima's Bohemian gem ✨ Dive into a day of vibrant culture and charming streets with these recommendations:

1️⃣ Start with a stroll along the Puente de los Suspiros ("Bridge of Sighs") where legend has it that if you hold your breath while crossing and make a wish, it just might come true. No, you won't magically feel the romance in the air but it's cute to see.
2️⃣ Indulge in local flavors at Barranco's food market – from ceviche to churros, taste the essence of Peru. Believe me, street food is amazing here.
3️⃣ Get artsy at the Jade Rivera gallery, where his vibrant works come to life. I found out about him while in Lima and wow, he has amazing pieces.
4️⃣ Lose yourself in the colorful streets, lined with graffiti art and hidden gems waiting to be discovered. So much of my camera roll were graffitis for quite a long time!
5️⃣ Wrap up your day with sunset views at the Barranco cliffs – a breathtaking end to an unforgettable day. I walked down to a mirador where you're able to see the beach and relax/have a conversation.
6️⃣ Don't forget to treat yourself to some locally-made ice cream with exotic fruit flavors like lucuma and maracuyá – a sweet ending to your Barranco adventure. 🍨🇵🇪

That time when I decided last minute I wanted to go to 😍

You don't need to depend on other people/tours to go where you want to visit. If you do your research and plan accordingly, you will be able to do things on your own 😉 I'm so glad I made the decision to go. I had an amazing day going to the top landmarks: Pena Palace, Castelo dos Mouros, Sintra National Palace and even had time to have a delicious lunch (obviously I had cod 😂) and tried their Ginja. It's a sweet liqueur made from Morello (sour) cherries soaked in a distilled spirit called aguardente.

Talk about adrenaline before starting a tour. That's what happened this time around 🫣 but that's a story for another time. This post is about my Valladolid-Cenote-Chichen Itzá adventure.

I learned a great deal about Mayan culture! It was a full 12hr day of learning, observing, and picture taking. 😍

Our stop in was short but so nice. Now part of the Pueblos Mágicos, this city is worth of a longer visit so I will definitely be back. We stopped at San Servacio church and walked around the Parque Francisco Canton. Then, stopped at a for some swimming, lunch, tequila tasting and tried a marquesita for the first time.

Towards the end of the day, we finally got to ✨️ Honestly, I must say I was waiting for something more special, some unique vibe. Even though I didn't find it, it was still a great time. Our guide was incredible, explaining everything to us. The details about the structure, the surroundings, and civilization.

Overall, this trip was one to remember!

📸 Pictures:
1. Discovering Chichen Itzá
2. Learning the local language
3. Sitting down at the double chair in Valladolid. According to the tradition, single girls would come here looking for conversation and hoping for a match.
