Our sincere apologies to folks who showed up at the monthly cleanup at Crescent Lake last Saturday. Due to a mixup, the date listed on Eventbrite was incorrect.

Make sure you pay attention to buoys and markers while boating. Many times, accidents can be prevented if you know and obey all buoys and markers. Take a boating safety course to learn more about boating safely.

Did you know puppies for sale at many pet stores are from puppy mills? Gross factories that over breed female dogs producing sick puppies.
We handed out literature today on supporting responsible puppy breeders, adopting rescue pets (like we did), or just supporting the Humane Society!

Join us Saturday in partnership with for our monthly clean up at Mirror Lake.

With help from and community support, we’ve made a real difference here. From pollinator beds to restored shorelines to huge litter pick ups, it’s a good looking lake park!

Now, we need you to help us sustain it!

Meet us at the park entrance on Saturday at 9am for a morning of feeling good while you’re doing good. It’ll be hot, so be sure to bring a refillable water bottle.

BUT, wind and rain are still expected. No paddling for the next few days and please heed these safety tips from the Pinellas County Sheriff:
○Look for and stay away from downed power lines.
○Run generators outdoors, 20 feet away from your home, and keep them dry to avoid electrocution. ○Avoid traveling - roadways may not be safe for some time.
○Do not drive through water - you can lose control of your vehicle in just a few inches of water.
○Traffic lights may not be operating properly. If a traffic light is completely out, treat it as a four-way stop.

Just kidding. We will be closed from this afternoon through Sunday as we have now been upgraded to a tropical storm warning. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you for outer Tuesday morning paddle through the mangroves to assess damage and clean up!
