In 36 years as an educator, I have been fortunate to travel around the world and have some fantastic experiences organizing and leading trips, whether for pers

onal travel, participating in educational exchanges, or leading groups on trips. I am passionate (perhaps to the point of obsession) about focusing on details and meticulous planning to make the experience unique, deeply meaningful, and enjoyable. Well, here we go. I received a sabbatical grant for my proposal to travel to Kenya to create a trip for Moorestown Friends students next March. Next two weeks should have meetings, school visits, interactions with villages, maybe even some pickleball, and of course, a ton of amazing wildlife!

Though weather here and on the sun play a big role, we are entering a period of increased solar activity over the next few years, so the chances to see the aurora at the right times of year (October-March) in the right places (Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Scandinavia) should be good!
