The 50th Anniversary Celebration begins on October 1st and I'd love to hear about which Disney hotel(s) you've stayed at and where has been your favorite and why! What do you look for in a hotel when planning your trip?

I'll start-Our last trip, we stayed at the Contemporary in the Garden View rooms. We absolutely loved it there! Because we could...we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom in the morning, but we were able to walk back to our hotel at the end of the night, thus not having to wait in line for busses back to our hotel. When we went to Epcot, we could catch the monorail back to the TTC, then the resort monorail back to Contemporary! For HS and AK we used the busses like everyone else.

Prior to that last stay, we've usually stayed at the Beach Club. Epcot is one of our favorites, so we'd enjoy a leisurely walk through there in the morning and then we could catch the monorail to MK (yay for Park Hopper passes!). With covid and different Park Hopper rules/hours in place, this is not an option right now, but that's ok! We leave again next month and we are back to the Beach Club, so we'll see how it goes. This trip will be our first since the Skyliner is open (it was almost open when we went in 2019), so that is an option from our hotel area to Hollywood Studios! I guess we are all about the ease of transportation when we choose our hotel lol!

For anyone wondering if it's safe to go to the Parks right now, here is a post from Disney. I also follow a couple of park videographers, for a lack of a better title, and have seen how the parks are handling lines, rides, etc., it's pretty amazing! Right now they are not allowing Park Hopper passes and you have to choose/make a reservation for which park you will be attending on which day of your trip. Come to us and we'll send you away on some Pixie Dust!!!

First and foremost, I love everything about Disney! I cry tears of joy when I see the castle while walking down Main Street, taking in the sites and smells! It truly is a “homecoming”, as it is for many who are die hard Disney fans.
