Hello future ghosts! I need your help with my upcoming ghost and true crime tour. I’m researching three haunted locations that have plenty of stories but lack documented haunted history. I’m looking for anyone who has worked at these places and can share their experiences with any haunted happenings or confirm rumors about the buildings’ histories. The locations are:

1. Maricopa County Old Courthouse
2. The Sheriff’s Office
3. The Icehouse

If you know anyone who might have information or personal stories about these sites, please send them my way. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you know Chinese immigrants played a vital role in shaping Phoenix? 🌟 Many came during the late 1800s, initially drawn by the opportunity to work on the Transcontinental Railroad 🚂. After the railroad’s completion, many stayed and moved to burgeoning cities like Phoenix, seeking new opportunities.

In Phoenix, they built vibrant Chinatowns and opened essential businesses like laundries, grocery stores, and restaurants 🏪🍜. Their entrepreneurial spirit and hard work significantly contributed to the city’s growth and development 📈

Learn more on our new tour to uncover the incredible stories of these pioneers and the lasting legacy they left on Phoenix! 🚶‍♂️👻

If you’ve been following my page for a while, you know that I think St. Mary’s Basilica is the most haunted location on our tour 👻, specifically around the archways. This photo was snapped by one of our tour guests, inside the archways of the basilica. The door was actually open, and this is the photo she captured on her first try 📸. Her shadow is clearly the one in the corner, but she thinks that she caught an apparition that appears to look like Jesus holding his arms up in a robe ✝️. What do you guys think? Is this a trick of lighting, or an apparition? 👀🔮

Check out Lord Darrell Duppa’s house at 112 W. Sherman St., the oldest standing structure in Phoenix! Duppa was one of the city’s founders who named Phoenix. Built around 1870, this dilapidated adobe building offers a glimpse into the past with its mud walls and Cottonwood roof. Once an agricultural outbuilding, it now stands in a parking lot, managed by the Arizona Historical Society. Visit before it’s gone forever!

Last night, one of our guests believes he captured a shadow figure at the Basilica. The guest took the photo, with his son sitting off to the far left... and next to him is...? 👀 They didn’t see the figure at the time and were the only two people in that area. Shadow figure or trick of lighting? What do you think? 🤔👻 #

Did you know that the iconic Bates Motel from Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho has its roots right here in downtown Phoenix? 🎥

Located in the heart of the city, Barrister Place (formerly the Jefferson Hotel) made its Hollywood debut in the opening scene of Psycho. When it opened in 1915, it was the tallest building in Arizona and quickly became a landmark.

Though it later housed various city operations and fell into vacancy when the city bought it in 1990, its unique history remains beloved. Recently, it was sold to a company that is transforming it into Jefferson Place, a vibrant project featuring retail spaces and 88 condos spread across two new buildings. 🏢

Explore the historic Barrister Place with us on our haunted and historic tour of downtown Phoenix and discover the fascinating stories hidden within our city! 👻✨

Check out the beautiful Luhrs Building and Tower. The Luhrs Building opened on April 1, 1924, as Phoenix’s first 10-story high-rise. From 1924 to 1971, its top floors housed the prestigious Arizona Club, featuring a 10th-floor penthouse with a 22-foot-tall arched ceiling and crystal chandeliers. 🕰️✨

Next door, the Luhrs Tower, a 14-story masterpiece completed in 1929, was the tallest building in the Southwest for decades. Gangland kingpin Gus Greenbaum ran a bookmaking operation here before he and his wife were brutally murdered in their Encanto-area home in 1958. 🏢🔪

Learn more about the Luhrs legacy and the murder of Greenbaum on our upcoming true crime tour! 👻🏛️
