⏳🤠Here’s a piece of Disneyland history that you might not have heard. Walt and Lillian Disney celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at the Golden Horseshoe just days before the official grand opening of the park in 1955! 🎭 Through 1986, the popular Golden Horseshoe R***e stage show was performed here. (Think Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e on a smaller scale.) Walt loved the wild west vaudeville show so much, he invited 300 people to attend the first official performance as part of an anniversary celebration! 😍

🍔🍟 Today, the Golden Horseshoe is a two-level quick service oasis in the heart of Frontierland serving typical theme park fare. At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the very similar Diamond Horsehoe is a sit-down restaurant serving the menu from Liberty Tree Tavern.

🤩🛝🐇If you only ever go down one more slide in your life, make it this one! The Oceaneer’s Club on the Disney Wish is accessible via an “Alice in Wonderland” themed slide. Here’s the catch, adults sailing on the Disney Wish, only have one chance to take advantage of sliding down the rabbit hole during the club’s Open House hours on embarkation day. So don’t hesitate if you want to channel your inner child. No worries, the stairs or elevators are always an option if slides don’t equal fun to you.

🫣🌴🍸One look at Gran Destino Tower and the gorgeous rooms in this relatively new addition to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort had many of us coining a new phrase, “Deluxe Lite.” With all of the scrumptious dining options, the high end feeling lounges, the well appointed & sleek rooms, this tower feels every bit as swanky and splurge worthy as a Deluxe Resort…minus the splurge. ➡️Who else can vouch for the swagger this new Tower addition exudes?

🤩🌵🌤️ I’m not sure there’s another Disney resort who has more of a glow up than Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. What was once just a sprawling moderate resort with a cool feature pool is now two resorts in one! You still have that cool Aztec vibe with the exterior entry rooms and central gathering place for food. Then in 2019, Gran Destino Tower took things to a whole new level-literally. This high rise tower has all the bells & whistles while still remaining an affordable resort. ➡️What’s your resort style: tower or separate buildings? 🍸🌵

🧺🍏🥪🍇🦋It’s National Picnic Day! Is the weather in your neck of the woods cooperating for you to get outside on your lunch break? It’s just about ALWAYS picnic weather at Disneyland. In fact, so much so that they even have a designated super cute picnic area. Grab some snacks, grab your honey and enjoy some slower park time in the shade. 🤯 Have you ever considered picnicking in THE park?

💭🧺🍏🥪🍇🦋 Wouldn’t it be dreamy if there was a scenic spot for you to have a nice picnic in Disneyland? 🤩 Wishes DO come true, and THERE IS a spot where you can either unpack the snacks you thoughtfully packed to save some cash or whatever you purchased to eat. No need to fight for tables, Disneyland has you covered. How likely are you to pre-pack some goodies to bring along now knowing there is an easy spot for you to relax, spread out and enjoy?

🌍✨🌳✨🌍Pretty sure it is no coincidence that Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day back in 1998 considering what an absolute heart that park (and Disney) has for conservation. From live animal care and educating guests with important recycling tips to making amazing strides in protecting endangered species, Animal Kingdom is park unlike any other. 🦓 (Where else can you learn for sure if a zebra is white with black stripes or black with white stripes?!) What is your favorite part of this amazing park?

🚂✍️🌳 Even if you can’t draw a straight line, I bet you a Dole Whip you can draw a beloved animated Disney character in just about 30 minutes. Many guests miss it, but over at Conservation Station (a quick ride away on the Wildlife Express train) at Animal Kingdom there is a FREE character drawing class. ✨There is some definite Disney magic involved, and you won’t believe what you will be able to accomplish in this artist led class. The class is appropriate for any age, and trust me when I say sometimes the kiddos do better than the adults. Doesn’t this sound like a great break for tired park feet? 😅

🤹‍♀️🥁🎶🎻 Strolling through World Showcase is like giving your passport a workout without ever having to leave the state of Florida. The fragrances, the food, the sights and especially the sounds. Anyone else love the pop-up entertainment you find when you’re walking around EPCOT? Are there any acts you’ve grown to know over the years & always hope to see?

🥁🎶🎻Music is the universal language of all things good and sweet, right? That’s why the live pop-up entertainment around EPCOT is so amazing. Don’t you feel like you get an extra spring in your step when you catch the peppy tunes of the mariachi band in Mexico? You HAVE to stop and watch the juggling act in Italy, right? (I mean, c’mon, what IF he misses?!)🤹‍♀️

3️⃣ 📲🚢 Three of the many things you can do (and a BIG one you can’t) via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. First, here’s a few things you can do:

⏳ Check your countdown: The home screen will tell you how many days until your sailing, and in a very cute way.

🗓️ Activities Schedule: Not only will it show your plans, but you’ll have the lineup for all the days’ activities at your fingertips once onboard.

🤳Purchase a Data Plan: You definitely want to do this if you plan to use data onboard (post to social media, text with family not onboard). It can be very costly if you don’t.

👎 What can’t you do? You can’t see any of the above (or anything else) if you don’t have a cruise booked and linked to the app. It’s not like the My Disney Experience app where you can play around and become familiar with things in advance of booking.

🎢🦖😱 Let’s talk about Universal’s Islands of Adventure’s newest coaster, VelociCoaster. The fear is REAL! The theming and thrills, especially from the moment you step into the VelociCoaster queue, are on point. There is never a moment where you aren’t 100% sure that you are about to ride the craziest coaster of your life...and I LOVE it. Are you ready to run from the raptors or will you be holding the bags while they snack on your family?

🎬🦖🍔🔬🎢Whether you are a fan of the movies or not, visit the Jurassic Park area at Universal Orlando Resort. This cool area of Islands of Adventure is part science, part thrills, part whimsy, part good eats and definitely all about teeth! It’s all a cross from feeling like you’re on an authentic movie set...or a theme park gone very...wrong. (*shrieks) What is your favorite part of this prehistorically awesome land?

🤫➡️ As a travel advisor that books a lot of Walt Disney World vacations, Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge feels very much like a hidden secret. Everyone talks about Jambo House and all its majestic glory, but Kidani Village has its own intimate, authentic vibe that really might suit you better. At very least, it’s worth a look especially if you’re already at Jambo House, and here’s why:

🛍️ Sanaa To Go: You’ve heard about the bread service, no doubt. Did you know you can order it to go? Take the shuttle, grab your order and be back to watch the kids go down the pool slide while you savor naan bread and dips.

🥾 The Journey: It’s a short 15 minute walk along a lush path or a quick run over on the internal shuttle. It’s not exactly like an African safari, but you will feel like an explorer.

🦒Wildlife: Love giraffes? Chances are you’ll see them up close from the outdoor savanna viewing area. And if Madagascar Radiated Tortoises are your obsession, they have a couple!

🌐🐬 A trip to EPCOT isn’t just about Guardians of the Galaxy or eating around “the World”! The Seas is home to a very un-theme park style tour, Dolphins in Depth. During this 2 hour tour, a small group goes behind the scenes to learn about conservation and the resident animals. The best part? You get IN THE WATER for about 30 minutes with two sweet and social dolphins! Trainers teach you a few commands and you have the chance to give rub downs (or dolphin massages), which they LOVE.

While you won’t actually be swimming with dolphins on this tour (i.e. being pushed and pulled like on some cruise excursions), you will love your time during Dolphins in Depth.

⛱️🍦🥤🍔 If you’re at Hollywood Studios and feel the crowd closing in on you, hop on the Skyliner and head to Disney’s Beach Club Resort’s ever popular Beaches & Cream. (Better yet, let me snag you an advanced dining reservation.) This nostalgic soda shop hot spot is worth the ride. The Kitchen Sink sundae is infamous and their grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is childhood on a plate. Anyone else a big fan of Beaches & Cream? What’s your go-to order?

🎉🎠🌂🍽️Today’s the day! 1900 Park Fare FINALLY opens its doors again for breakfast and dinner buffets with characters! This immensely popular Grand Floridian Resort & Spa restaurant has been closed for more than 4 years. FOUR! And it’s coming back with a new menu with old favorites (🍓hello Strawberry Soup) and a new line up of Disney friends to dine with. Greeting you while you dine will be Tiana, Cinderella, Mirabel and Aladdin at both meals.

🐀🧀🇫🇷 Leave it to Disney to get us all hyped up to celebrate a rat. Of course I mean Remy from “Ratatouille” and the area of the France pavilion in EPCOT dedicated to the film. This place is not just about the ride, it’s like stepping into a live action version of the movie! Walking around you’ll spot all sorts of cool nods to the film and oh so many details! And the food? Délicieux! I like to imagine Little Chef himself is in the La Crêperie kitchen whipping up his signature dishes. 🥘

🎞️🍿If it’s been a while since you’ve seen the movie, consider watching it before your trip so you can appreciate the details of this area even more. Do you have movie nights to build up the excitement for your Disney vacations?

🌴✈️🇫🇷🇮🇹 ☕️Happy Saturday! If you’re just hanging out at home this weekend, put down the laundry and take a virtual vacation with me to Disney’s Riviera Resort! Scroll through these photos of a preferred deluxe studio and you’ll easily see why this resort is known for elegance and charm. With the Murphy style bed (over the couch) and the pull down sleeper (under the TV) there is room, and plenty of it, for up to five adults.
