Why is it so important? Well, let’s take a look at some examples. Southwest Airlines, for instance, operates on a first-come, first-served basis for seat selection, meaning the earlier you check in, the better your chances of snagging a prime spot onboard.

But it’s not just about seat selection. Checking in early also helps you avoid the stress of rushing to the airport at the last minute. Some airlines, like American Airlines, have strict check-in deadlines—arriving within 45 minutes of takeoff for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights could mean you’re unable to check in altogether!

So, whether you’re an early bird or a last-minute packer, make sure to prioritize checking in for your flight. As fare expert Keyes puts it, “there’s essentially no good reason to be putting it off until then.” So go ahead, check in early, and set yourself up for a smooth journey ahead! ✈️

Being a business owner demands hard work, but being a black-owned business owner presents additional challenges. We’re not allowed “mistakes,” no matter how diligently we rectify them. Often, we’re met with comments like, “That’s why I don’t work with black people,” not only in corporate America but also as entrepreneurs.
