I was driving around Lake Crescent, looked out my window and could see the Northern lights dancing through the sky 😍 I quickly pulled over as it was the ONLY location in the area at that moment that had a clearing. I shut off my lights and let my eyes adjust so that I could see the colorful display shimmering across the sky. This was during the historic solar storm we had towards the end of March.

The location I was shooting previously had completely clouded over during what was the most intense display of Northern Lights I had ever seen. So I made the decision to call it a night and on my drive home I fully expected the night to be over, and I was absolutely content with that. What I had just witnessed was something straight out of a dream, it only made sense that it ended quickly. So you can imagine my surprise when I got an encore. A second chance to witness the biggest display of Aurora Borealis in my lifetime.

I was so happy in this moment I almost cried. It's one thing to fulfill an item on your bucket-list, but to have multiple opportunities to experience it in different locations throughout the night made me feel so blessed.

I didn't have time to search for the perfect foreground, but what I did have was an obvious contender. The Lake Crescent sign has been the subject of millions of selfies and photo ops. I feel extremely lucky to have captured it in a way that no one else has, with such a vibrant display of colorful lights dancing through the sky 😇

What’s the best place that you have ever travelled?

I’ll go first. Our favorite place we have been is Pompano Beach, FL. We went for the first week of our honeymoon. The water is SO clear and it’s just beautiful. We went on a food tour (Umm, yes! I LOVE food! 🍓🍽️🥐🍕) where we got to dive into local cuisine and culture! Did some neon mini golf (my favorite putt-putt course we have done I think).
