BVI Wreck Week 2024 promises an unforgettable diving experience

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Adventure enthusiasts and diving aficionados from around the globe are gearing up for the highly anticipated BVI Wreck Week 2024, set to run from June 16-22, 2024 in the Virgin Islands.

Described as a thrilling week, the extravaganza promises an unparalleled exploration of maritime history and underwater wonders organized by the BVI Scuba Organization as a celebration of the rich maritime heritage and natural beauty of the Virgin Islands.

Diverse range of activities planned

“From seasoned wreck divers to curious beginners, this event caters to all levels of experience, offering a diverse range of activities and experiences both above and below the waterline,” a release on the event noted.

Highlighting the event are the meticulously preserved wrecks and art-reefs that dot the seafloor of the Virgin Islands and participants will have the opportunity to dive into history as they explore these fascinating underwater sites, each with its own story to tell.

My beloved son has passed away in a tragic accident this morning. He was a very good man and a great son and I know he will be remembered all of you. He will be remembered for delivering patties and telling old stories. You were generous, kind, and loving to all of those around you. I have a hard time coming to terms with your sudden passing. My son you will be missed!

I see so many tourists doing this— reminder Do Not Stand On or Touch the Coral 🪸. They are so fragile.

PSA - No standing on the coral.
Adjust snorkel gear in shallow sandy water.
Reminder, the USVI banned reef-harming sunscreens! Not sure what products are reef safe? You'll find a large selection on local shelves!

Gumption collected the backpacks from the donors by himself, took them all to the HQ one by one by himself, Keeping track for each one for transparency and accountability by himself even separated empties by what’s already have in supplies from not having in supplies while adding supplies to those without all by himself!!

Just imagine the good that you can do when you and your group of friends getting together for social good for there’s strength in numbers. This is an also prime example that even “if” you’re by yourself that doesn’t mean you can’t make a positive difference within your community.

Thank you to all those who sent us backpacks so far. Your backpacks will make a huge difference within our community. We thank you for joining this initiative. This the FIRST of its kind and was never attempted by anyone. Even if we don’t hit the goal Gumption said he’s very proud of his efforts from everyone who assisted for me all tried.

Things to keep in mind when you book a Necker Island tour with Gumption.

To all our future customers who are sailing into the Sound and booked for our nature tour please be sure you fully understand the following:

1) Departure’s or Drop off can be from anywhere within North Sound. Water taxi service is $25.00 as on website.

1a) If you will be in need of a water taxi please note it should be booked for by 1:00pm day before the excursion. Booking the water taxi for the service day of actual excursion will cost you $50.00 and will delay your booked hours with us.

1b) Do acknowledge before our water service departure we must have a teammate visit BVI Customs office to purchase the BVI Customs day to day cruise permits. Note if Her Majesty’s Customs or the Royal Virgin Islands Police stop vessel Sea It Clear and doesn’t have the followings it’s a violation by law with a fine of $10,000.00

1c) Note BVI customs opens at 8:30am and close at 4:30pm; Also acknowledge it closed by 1:30pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Most of Gumption’s excursions begins at 9:00am; 99.9% of clients make it’s clear if they need a water taxi or not in advance. This makes it. better for everyone especially you and it doesn’t cut your time short. 

2) For those on charter boats please find out from your Yacht Charter company if you’re allowed to bring your yacht over to Necker; It have a few companies that doesn’t allowed yachts over.

booking water taxi day of excursion $50.00 per + it will cut the hours with us short and your delay shouldn’t be the reason’s we’re late for the next client who booked for a set time

Great news!

FINALLY!!! MARCH 4TH WE ARE HEADED BACK TO JOST VAN D**E!!!

Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays starting on March 4th we will be departing Red Hook, St. Thomas at 7:30 am, Cruz Bay, St. John at 8 am and Jost at 3:30 pm.

You WILL need to be fully vaccinated with proof and tested within 48 hours. This same test will be bringing you back that afternoon. Currently free testing is done in the gravel lot on St. John on Wednesdays (good for Fri trip) and Community Medical Laboratory is testing in Red Hook for $100. We are in the process of obtaining approved testing kits for travel.

Tickets go on sale on Feb 21st on our website at interislandboatservices.com
