Steven and Meredith specialize in Disney destinations, Universal Parks & Resorts, and multiple cruise companies. Both born and raised in Akron Ohio, Steven and Meredith have traveled the world extensively and lived overseas in Europe for three years. During Steven’s twenty years of service in the Marine Corps, him and Meredith
traveled through most of Europe, the Mediterranean and have taken more than seven cruises. Additionally, Steven has travel experience in Asia, Scandinavia, and the Middle East. Steven and Meredith have two young children and are a family that loves to travel.
Day 4 At Sea
After the last two days being in port we took advantage of a nice quiet day on the ship. The kids went to the kids club and my wife and I wandered around the shops onboard. Our concierge set up a bridge tour for us in the afternoon. Did you know that boat captains go to college for navigation? The bridge crew was great answering everyone’s questions.
Day 3 Falmouth, Jamaica
We took about a 90 minute bus ride to Ocho Rios and hiked up and jumped off waterfalls. It was one of the most beautiful places. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. My kids had a blast. The shopping at the port was probably my wife’s favorite part!
Day 2 Labadee, Haiti
This is one of our favorite ports! The crystal water and mountainous coastline is magical. There are a variety of of shore excursions available. From cultural to water sports. You can do it all in Haiti.
We went to a small island off the coast and snorkeled. It was such a magical experience to share with our kids.
Day 1 of vacation
Boarding the ship in Cape Canaveral is always exciting! It was amazing to see our kids reaction to seeing a cruise ship for the first time. After we did our check in and go to assembly stations for a safety brief, we headed up to our suite and unpacked. We spent our evening exploring the ship and making dining reservations at the three speciality restaurants on board. Even thought Mariner of The Seas is a smaller ship for Royal Caribbean, there is still lots of things to explore.
