Contemplating Retirement. Those two words encompass so much: A dream envisioned; a love affair with the beauty of Napa Valley and it’s luscious, opulent wines; treasured memories with the people of this special industry and all they have taught me about wine and hospitality; driving my convertible Jeep on stunning wine country mountain roads and through this glorious valley; laughing with my customers (sometimes laughing so hard I had to pull over!); celebrating their milestones, occasions, new chapters; tours with their kids and dogs; commiserating with their losses, and allowing their laughter and joy to help me heal in my own grief and loss.

It’s been 15 years since my first tour with Jasmine from London. She wrote my first review and did not mention that it was raining buckets that day! We headed to the mountains to the small family owned wineries I love and had dreamed of sharing. I was so nervous and she was so fun. (Thank you Jasmine)

I am forever grateful to every one of you who took a Jeep tour, those who keep coming back, those that have become friends; my drivers, ‘my’ wonderful, special wineries, and everyone who has supported me in my ‘Girl and a Jeep Adventure’. Big decisions ahead…

I am truly the lucky one.

This was a fun day spent with writer Michele Bigley for an article on the Jeep Tours for Napa Sonoma Magazine. She brought her husband and two little boys along. (The boys loved the Jeep and the farm animals at Summit Lake Vineyards!)

Afternoon wine tasting in downtown Napa at Outer Space Wines. When I first moved to Napa, Dan Dawson’s wine shop, Back Room Wines, was where I tasted many small production wines and I am glad Dan is continuing that at Outer Space. Make sure to check it out when you are visiting. Great wines at great prices!
