Old Town Cottonwood– in the quaint town known for its architecture, you can enjoy wonderful gastropubs, restaurants, tasting rooms, breweries, and distilleries, or browse the area’s one-of-a-kind boutique shops.
Dead Horse Ranch State Park– At 3,300 feet elevation, Dead Horse Ranch is a great way to experience the desert at more mild temperatures. Enjoy biking, hiking, and canoeing. Don’t let the name fool you. Dead Horse Ranch is located in a beautiful area with no expired animals in sight.
Jerome– aptly known as “The City in the Sky,” Jerome is a hillside town that was once one of Arizona’s most famous mining camps, producing over a billion dollars worth of gold, copper, silver, and zinc. Today, Jerome is perfect for visitors eager to learn about the town’s history. You may even be visited by some of Jerome’s past residents who are said to haunt the Jerome Hotel, the local hospital, and the old jailhouse.
