I took a posting hiatus while at the beach. It was good to step away for a minute, but I’m back with some WEDNESDAY WISDOM for any type of vacation! ➡️ When traveling with kids, give yourself lots of extra time. Everything takes longer with kids (especially those littles). No matter if this is your first trip with kiddos or your 20th trip with kiddos, it’s never a bad idea to double your anticipated time of how long things will take. Most of all don’t try to cram it all in one day. They’ll be cranky and so will you. Pace yourself and live in the moment!

⭐️ TIP • TUESDAY ⭐️

Visiting a park on your arrival day is DOABLE! I tend to recommend Epcot as a good option for those guests who arrive early enough. Epcot opens later than the other parks and STAYS open later! So even if you don’t get there until after lunch, you can still have a solid 8+ hours of fun….and even some fireworks!!!

If you are staying on Disney property and you arrive before your room is ready, bell services will hold your bags for you until you return that evening!

This is the cold Brew Black Caf from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo inside Galaxy’s Edge. It’s made of Cold Brew Coffee topped with Sweet Cream Cheese and Chocolate Puffs. I feel like this one could be a little controversial on taste. Personally the coffee was a bit strong for me, so I’ll be getting my usual from the Joffrey’s stand next time, but I know lots of people who love it!

🎄Let’s talk about a Disney Christmas… in July!

🎅🏼 When it comes to decorations, parades, and just all-around Christmas vibes, absolutely no one can do it better than Disney!

🎁 When traveling at Christmas make sure you include some time to resort hop. From value to deluxe, (but especially deluxe) the resorts are decked out with remarkable decorations sure to catch your eye. In general, the deluxe categories are the ones to definitely catch they get a little bit of extra sparkle such as real life gingerbread houses, carousels, and the most beautiful Christmas trees!

🎄 The parks are also adorned top to bottom with wreaths, garland, lights, and SO MANY trees. The Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise and parades become even more magical (if that’s even possible)!

🎅🏼 Last but most certainly not least schedule dinner one evening at Disney Springs. During the Christmas, the shops, restaurants, and entertainment area of Disney Springs gets a Yule tide makeover with glimmering lights, ornaments, delicious treats, and the air is filled with the sounds of Christmas tunes! Lastly, grab a map and take a stroll through the Christmas tree trail before finishing your night!

🌧️ Don’t forget to pack your ponchos, especially in the summer months! With unpredictable Florida weather, having a poncho on hand can save the day and keep you dry during those sudden rain showers (or downpours). Shout out to my cousin for having one for all of us last week! I also recommend a stroller cover. As you can see, I got caught up without one two days in a row. Thankfully, the poncho did cover, but I won’t be caught without a stroller cover again either! Stay prepared and comfortable while enjoying all the magic Disney has to offer! 🌧️

Capt. Cook's at Disney’s Polynesian resort serves up an adventurous assortment of sandwiches, salads, and MORE! This is the Pulled Pork Nachos plate. The chips are topped with pulled pork, cheese, spicy mayonnaise, pico de gallo, and pineapple salsa. Just imagine sitting under the palm trees with the breeze of Seven Seas Lagoon blowing in your hair, eating this delicious plate of nachos while your kiddos run on the lawn! 😍

Tip Tuesday: Book with a travel agent! From time to time Disney releases promotions. The number above is what I saved my clients this week with the new holiday promotion! 🤩 That's the cool thing about using an agent. If you book on your own, Disney won't tell you to modify your reservations. So if you don’t see the promotion, you’re out of luck. Even so, you’d need to navigate the promotion and modification process on your own. Many people who book on their own are likely to miss out on savings altogether. Travel agents get the promotional emails before they are active. This allows us to go in the day the promotions go live and apply them to any bookings in the correct date range!

Last week I said I would continue with Animal Kingdom Lodge! So, aside from the cool rooms with a savanna view, the entire property is pretty amazing. At any given time there are multiple animals and you truly feel like you have stepped into the heart of Africa. Disney spares no expense when it comes to theming!
