💛Gold Flag Launch: The gold route carries guests from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, continues to Disney's Polynesian resort, and back to the Magic Kingdom. This route operates 30 minutes before park opening until 1.5-hours after park close and typically has two launches on the route. This route can not accommodate ECVs. Guests in Wheelchairs can board if they can transfer out of the wheelchair and step down 2 feet into the boat. Travel time on this route is about 20-minutes around the lake, so it's about 7-minutes between stops. Wait time between boats is typically 10-15 minutes.
💚Green Flag Launch: The green route carries guests from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This is a heavily traveled route due to the Hoop-De-Doo Musical R***e and Mickey's Backyard BBQ being at this resort, along with the fact that guests staying at the resort can only get to the Magic Kingdom by boat. This route typically runs two cruisers which are both capable of accommodating ECVs and wheelchairs without a required transfer. Travel time from Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness is approximately 13-minutes once underway. Wait time between boats is typically 10-20 minutes.
♥️ Red Flag Launch: The red route transports guests from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This route typically runs one cruiser and one launch, which means if you have an ECV, you'll have to wait for the cruiser to be taken to the resort. Travel time from the Magic Kingdom to the resort is approximately 8-minutes with wait time between boats typically 8-12 minutes.
💙 Blue Flag Launch: The blue route consists of two launches transporting guests around Bay Lake between Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, and Contemporary Resort. The two launches operate in opposite directions, meeting at the Contemporary.

I shimmied into the Hard Rock Cafe at City Walk Orlando just as some wretched concert let out from next door, ready to get my fix of greasy fare to sooth the soul wrenching combination of physical exhaustion and exclusion from a favorite past-time. The bar was empty as a ghost town, save for yours truly and the giant pink Caddy spinning above, a damn garish sight but smoothing my jagged nerves nonetheless. I waved down the barkeep and ordered up the Golden Onion Tower, a rickety pile of fried onions and false promises of ranch dipping sauce. The rings had a satisfying crunch, but the sauce was some bland gunk barely worth its weight in backwash. As I shoved the dregs around my plate, I ordered another round - the Smoked Old Fashioned. The name evoked smoky speakeasies, hats pulled down over wild eyes, and barrel-chested men who ain't asked questions cause they ain't offering answers. But this drink was no smoky jewel of the past - just another bourbon, falsely advertised and forlorn in its glass tomb, much like myself on that night. In the end, the Hard Rock is as it always was - a graveyard for bygone dreams filled with nothing but neon lights, Death's-head cowboy skulls, and one garish Caddy to rule them all. And yet, the place still suits me fine. Because past those doors are the milling hordes, the members-only amusement machine - and at least at that bar, the kingdom belongs to me, if you for a half an hour. 🙃
Kettle Chip Nachos and the Too Chocolate Stout at Toothesomes Chocolate Emporium in Orlando: The Kettle Chip Nachos offer an intriguing twist on traditional nachos by substituting homemade kettle chips for tortilla chips. The combination of crispy, salty chips with flavorful shredded pork, spicy andouille sausage, and creamy queso makes for a satisfying nacho experience. The addition of sweet peppers provides a nice touch of freshness and balance. At $14.95, the portion is somewhat on the smaller side for a shared appetizer, but at less than the cost of most entrees, this is a filling option for one lonely park nerd. The Too Chocolate Stout pours an opaque black with a modest tan head. The aroma is dominated by bittersweet chocolate and roast malt. On the palate, the beer leads with semisweet chocolate flavor, followed by subtle notes of coffee and vanilla. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. The chocolate flavors last through the finish, which has low bitterness. Overall, this stout delivers solid chocolate flavor in a very drinkable 5.8% ABV package. It provides a nice complement to the rich flavors of the nachos. At $10.50, it is reasonably priced for a specialty stout. The Too Chocolate Stout is a tasty chocolate-forward beer that pairs well with desserts or savory dishes featuring chocolate.
Well folks, Justin and Autumn are back at it again with another jam-packed episode of Easy Diz It! This time, they’re tackling the controversial topic of how to use Disney’s Genie+ system without being glued to your phone the entire vacation. They kick things off with some friendly banter about Autumn’s car troubles and the woes of car shopping as a couple. But soon enough we dive right into the main topic. Justin gets fired up reading a strongly-worded 1-star review from a guest named Edward. Poor Edward felt like he spent more time stressing about Genie+ reservations than actually enjoying himself. Cue Autumn reeling Justin back in – they agree constant phone use takes away from the magic of family time at Disney. This leads into their helpful tips for minimizing phone time with Genie+. First up is the “Use, Make” strategy – book your first Lightning Lane at 7am, then after using it, book your next one. Only check for modifications during scheduled breaks. Simple but effective! How to Maximize Genie+ Without Being Tied to Your Phone from WDW Magazine Next is hiring the Standby Skipper app to book your Lightning Lanes for you. At $25-$45 bucks though, Justin and Autumn debate if the convenience is worth the cost. Standby Skipper Other suggestions include setting firm phone checking rules, reconsidering Genie+ during lower crowd times, and focusing on individual Lightning Lane rides. Great info from TouringPlans: How Much Time Can I Save with Genie+ at WDW? At the end of the day, efficiency isn’t everything – it’s about soaking up those magical moments with your crew!
#willitmickey? Mushroom #Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter Sauce. Dough: 10oz AP flour, 6 egg yolks, 2 lg eggs, 1 tbsp olive oil. Rest at least 2 hours before rolling. Filling: 1.5lb mushrooms, shallot, garlic, 2 tsp fresh thyme, 2 tsp fresh rosemary, 1tsp sage, 2tsp fennel seed, salt, .5 cup Parmesan, .5 cup ricotta, .25 cup Italian parsley. Sauce: Brown 4tbsp butter carefully, add sage leaves and 1 tsp lemon juice, add pasta and .25 cup pasta water. Baste ravioli with sauce as it thickens. You know who's got a really soothin' voice? This guy Patrick Warburton. Real husky and mellow. He's the one narratin' the preshow for Soarin' over at Epcot. Yeah, that's right. Just him tellin' people to keep their hands and feet inside the ride and whatnot. Calms everybody down before they go glidin' in the air. And get this - he's also that security droid in line for Star Tours! G2-9T or somethin'. Pretty funny robot, that guy. Has some good zingers for all them people waitin' in line. Ol' Patrick's got pipes, y'know? Real unique sound. Even though they're short parts, his voice sticks with ya. Gives those Disney rides a little somethin' extra. Well hey, gotta go. Nice chattin' with ya.

"Sunny Day Celebration" at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is this disgustingly cheerful stage show where all those Sesame Street characters get together to sing and dance like a bunch of happy-go-lucky fools. It's all about sunshine, friendship, and giggles, which, if you ask me, is pretty rotten. You'll see Elmo, Abby, and Cookie Monster acting all cheerful and sunny, but it's nothing but a bunch of trash, if you ask me. If you're into that sort of thing, go ahead and enjoy it, but I'll be in my trash can, far away from all that sunny nonsense!
