I love Character dining!! This trip we were able to go to five! While each was a great experience, I thought I’d share some highlights. Deana Smith Glass

1. Storybook Dining at Artist Point: fabulous experience start to finish! Great character interaction, great service and the best food of the trip!!

2. O’Hana breakfast: The food and service were both great. The character interaction was average and it was great to see LILO and Stitch!

3. Topolinos breakfast: The food was good and the service was average. Character interaction was exceptional and the costumes are my favorite! (The rumors are true- you can no longer order two meals. You can get a meal and a side though)

4. Crystal Palace: Food was average (except the Mac and cheese is the best!). Service wasn’t bad but our waitress wasn’t very friendly. The character interaction was disorganized and we waited forever, after we were done eating, to see Eeyore and Tigger.

5. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: I was very impressed at how well this was organized! The food was just average but the service and character interaction made up for it! We were greeted by five princesses while we ate our meal.

It’s often times difficult to get away from the tried and true hotel chains but it sure is fun to stay in the smaller boutique hotels. Andrew Pickney Inn is in an excellent location with fantastic rooms. They also have a full breakfast and a wine and cheese reception (with full glasses of wine and individual charcuterie boards). If you’re going to be in the Charleston area, I’d love to book this lovely hotel for you!
