The trip that Firebird Outfitters donated to WMEAC's recent auction was purchased as a birthday present for Terrance (aka T-Rex, T-Dawg, and THE Terrance). This was possibly the most fun I've had on a trip. This kid is awesome!

The river was up a bit today after last week's rain. Vince found this guy under a log at the river's edge when it smacked the ol' Daredevle and then danced like the devil across the top of the water.

My clients sometimes apologize for getting snagged on logs. They won't see me get frustrated with that - you have to cast to where the fish are. As long as you keep trying to improve, the failures will lead to success.

Happy Easter! It was a gorgeous day on the Grand River and the wildlife were active. We saw a mink carrying a small pike, an otter buffet table, too many birds to count, and some smallmouth bass showed up late to the party.
