Your English speaking, friendly driver will be waiting for you outside your Barbados cruise ship terminal and help you aboard the air conditioned transportation. As the transportation heads out from the cruise terminal area, the guide will fill you in on some interesting facts and stories about the area and some of the Bajan paradise history. Your 5 to 6-hour adventure starts with a journey that w
ill take you over to the East Coast of Barbados. This is the windward side of the island and has some spectacular rock formations. Your first stop will be Cherry Tree Hill with its breathtaking views of the East Coast. From there you will make your way to Morgan Lewis Windmill. The windmill is on the top 100 endangered historical sites in the world. It is one of only two working sugar mills in the world. As you continue down the coastline, you will travel through Cattlewash and make a stop in Bathsheba. Both are known for their wild and rocky shorelines. Bathsheba is a small fishing village that is popular with surfers due to the waves, in an area known as Soup Bowl. Your next stop will be St, John's Church, one of the oldest churches on the island which is set on a cliff and offers some spectacular views. From this Gothic church, you will journey around to the Garrison Historic Area. This is an area full of old military defense stations, barracks and cannons on the island. For the second part of your day, your guide will take you to Carlisle Bay for a mini beach break. You will be welcomed with a complimentary drink - rum punch, fruit punch or soft drink. During your stay at Carlisle Bay, you will be provided with a beach lounger and umbrella. You will also have use of their facilities including restrooms and freshwater showers. Please be sure to wear your swimsuits and bring a beach towel for this excursion as the white sandy beach and beautiful turquoise blue water are inviting. When you get hungry or thirsty, there is a restaurant and bar right there where you can purchase lunch, beverages, and snacks. They will serve you on the beach or you may choose to dine inside. The cost of food and beverages is not included. There are also additional activities you may purchase when you arrive at the beach including parasailing, banana boat rides, etc. At the end of your excursion time, your air-conditioned transportation will take you back to your Barbados cruise pier terminal. There is a minimum of 2 passengers needed for this excursion.
