Mary Poppins and Saving Mr. Banks (the story of our beloved Mary Poppins) have been my comfort movies for so many years. The music that the Sherman brothers wrote for the film have filled my world with joy. It’s with great sorrow that we say goodbye to Richard Sherman, a true Disney Legend✨ Make sure you dedicate your next ride on It’s a Small World to the men behind that catchy tune. 35 years of Disney’s Hollywood Studios🎥✨

On May 1, 1989, Walt Disney World opened their 3rd gate in their Florida park! Of all 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World, Hollywood Studios has probably seen the most change since opening day… including a name change! Hollywood Studios actually opened under the name MGM Studios and officially rebranded in early 2008! While many rides have phased in and out, new lands have appeared, and names have changed, one thing has remained constant: Hollywood Studios truly brings the world of cinema to life! So all you Hollywood stars, go forth and dance down Sunset Blvd this month to celebrate 35 years of this beautiful park!

Yesterday Disney announced that the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will return to Walt Disney World August 29 to November 23 this year! We’ve attended Food & Wine every year since 2021 and we just keep coming back for more because these festival booths are to die for🤤

Stay on Site Saturday: Disney’s Pop Century Resort🎳

It’s no secret I’m a value resort lover but there is just something about Pop Century. We accidentally ended up staying here in January 2022 and I’m so thankful things worked out the way they did!

✅Pros: larger than life theming, Skyliner access, comfortable rooms, perfect for a quick trip, great pool areas/a pool is never a long walk from your building

❌Cons: it can be an event if you need to get back to the hotel from a Skyliner park during the rain, not a lot of dining options

BUT if you get your discounted room under the Stay Longer, Save More promo and buy the 4 Day, 4 Park Magic Ticket, your total (tax included) is now $4,617.91🤯 That’s a savings of $2,095.38!!!!

🎭 Maybe you’re more of a moderate resort person so let’s look at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter. Package for a family of 4? $4,419.41. Not bad but we can do better. Same two promos as before, your total is now $3,433.32, saving you $986.09!

Stay on Site Saturday: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort🌺

Poly is one of my favorite Disney resorts. The island vibes, great food, and Magic Kingdom views make it a top tier Disney resort in my opinion.

✅Pros: proximity to the parks, multiple transportation options, impeccable theming, great food/variety of options, views of Magic Kingdom fireworks from the hotel

❌Cons: can be expensive, close to the horn of the ferry boat whenever she decides to blow

The best way to plan a Disney Vacation when your dates are flexible is to checkout the cheapest days to fly from your go to airport!

We all know flying can be expensive. You could spend thousands of dollars, might have to sell your spare kidney, and on occasion the airline may even ask for your first born child in return for your air travel😂… thank god that hasn’t happened to my parents yet😅

Here a 4 upcoming long weekend trips planned around low cost travel days from with JetBlue from Boston to Orlando! This is how I plan majority of my trips and I have saved hundreds of dollars doing it this way!

Can I say something crazy? Disney doesn’t have to be expensive. I know, I’m totally out of my mind here but it’s true! Here are some tips from your travel advisor on how you can save on your next Disney Vacation!

💰Purchase discounted Disney Gifts Cards with Target Red Card: You can save 5% of Disney Gift Cards that can be used to purchase everything from your hotel and ticket package to food and souvenirs! While 5% may not seem like much at first, that money adds up! Don’t have the Target Red Card? Local stores and other chains like Costco will also offer deals! Make sure you look around in your area if Target isn’t an option.
💰Have groceries delivered to your resort: Instacart and other grocery delivery services will deliver food right to your resort! A bottle of water in Walt Disney World is roughly $4 a pop, but through Instacart you can have two 32-packs of Nestle Pure Life waters delivered for about $21. That’s over $200 in savings and your family can stay extra hydrated to beat that Florida heat!
💰Plan your trip in advance: Once you put down your deposit for a Disney Vacation you’ll have the ability to build your own payment plan with your travel advisor! Rather than paying for the trip all at once and emptying your account, pay over time for your trip!
💰Character Breakfasts: Interested in a character meal but worried about the price tag? Opt for a breakfast instead of a dinner. Breakfast at these locations is often much cheaper and you can still have that same one on one time with characters!
💰Look into the Disney Visa Card: Disney often runs promos for Disney Visa Cardholders to get discounts on resort stays just for paying with their Disney Visa Card! They have an option with no annual fee that you can still earn Disney Dollars (points) with that can later be used to make Disney purchases!
💰Subscribe to Disney+: I’m sure by now most people have a Disney+ Subscription but that $20 a month payment can save you big bucks when Disney runs promos for subscribers! Plus, you can watch Disney movies whenever and wherever you want so it’s a win/win!
💰Compare prices: Places like AAA do offer great discounts for things like car rentals, theme park tickets, and more but always compare to make sure you’re getting the best deal. AAA Walt Disney World tickets are often the same price as tickets purchased directly through Disney or your Travel Advisor! Don’t waste money thinking you’re getting a good deal!
💰Zig when they zag: Plan your trips during “off season”, especially in Walt Disney World. August and September may be hot but there’s great ways to beat the heat during these cheaper months.
💰Purchase an Annual Pass: If you want to visit Walt Disney World multiple times a year you may want to consider purchasing an annual pass (or Disneyland with a MagicKey). On top of your admission being covered for as many visits you’d like to take that year you’ll then receive discounts on merchandise and dining! Walt Disney World also frequently offers hefty room discounts to APs!
💰Check flight prices: When your travel dates are flexible, check to see if your airline of choice has a calendar where you can see the cheapest days to fly (or utilize Google Flights). JetBlue has a great Best Fare Finder calendar right on their website!
💰Take advantage of military discounts: Is someone in your travel party active or retired military? They may be eligible for discounts on rooms and tickets!
💰Save your receipts: Use apps like Fetch Rewards and iBotta to earn gift cards for things like flights, rental cars, Uber, Target, and more!
💰Use a Travel Advisor: When you book through a WGTC Travel Advisor, we monitor prices and promos to see if we can get you a better deal for your trip, even after booking!
