One of the main reasons our family is able to travel as often as we do is because both my husband and I earned Southwest Airlines companion passes for 2023 and 2024. That means for our family of 5, we buy 3 plane tickets and get two free because whenever my husband or I buy a Southwest plane ticket, our companion flies free. It is a total game-changer and we plan to earn them for the next two years as well.

How does it work? Earn 135,000 southwest points and get a companion pass for the rest of the year you earned it in, plus the next year. That means we want to earn it as early in 2025 as we can so we have it for the majority of 2025 plus all of 2026. You can earn these points with flights and by using the Southwest Shopping Portal, but the fastest way to earn the companion pass is to open Southwest credit cards, meet the required minimum spend, and pay off the balance each month.

Little ones can embrace their inner wayfinder at Moana’s Voyage, a whimsical new splash area that will feature life-size sculptures of Moana and her iconic canoe from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film.

The tower will also be home to Cove Pool, a brand-new zero entry pool offering even more opportunities to relax. Both Disney Vacation Club members and guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be able to experience these new aquatic features.

Do you travel over the Holidays? Between Christmas and New Year’s is peak time for travel, so yes, prices can be higher and you will likely deal with larger crowds. But for some, like our family, it’s still worth it to go in a trip at this time of year. 🧳 Our family doesn’t go every year, but we do try to maximize school breaks so that our kids don’t miss school and activities. We recognize that if we are going to have longer lines, but we plan accordingly and utilize Genie+ at Disney World and TSA PreCheck for airports. Orlando even has MCO Reserve so that travelers can reserve a dedicated security lane time slot for their party. 🧳 If crowds aren’t your thing, you can minimize your exposure to them during peak times by choosing an all-inclusive resort or a more secluded vacation rental. 🧳 One thing I really want to do someday is visit Christmas Markets in Europe! 🧳 Will you be traveling over the holidays?
