Awayre, LLC Tired of other people's sales, management and business philosophies? Create your own. We will help.

We help business presidents, team leaders and sales executives craft their own business philosophies, management theories and sales processes. ⚫ Be the Best Business Philosopher Your Business Has ⚫

You have already built a successful, thriving business. The revenues are flowing, the clients are ecstatic, the employees are happy and productive, and the community is dazzled. But there is one concer

n that you, the President, the founder, the owner has. For your business to continue to grow and thrive, you have to personally get involved with every single aspect of running your business. You sometimes wonder what would happen to your business if you didn't show up for a few weeks or for a few months. Would your business continue to grow and thrive without you, or would it fall apart and disappear?

⚫ It's Not Your Fault ⚫

There are two reasons why business presidents struggle to build self-empowered businesses:

➊ They use other people's philosophies, theories and methods, and

➋ Those philosophies, theories and methods were developed with the belief that human-beings could be managed like machine-things.

⚫ What's The Solution? ⚫

If you want to fix these problems, you have to do two things:

➊ Build your own business philosophy, management theory and selling methods, not buy into someone else's and try to make them fit your world, and

➋ Build them around the idea of people as living, breathing, human-beings, not dead, robotic, machine-things.

⚫ What We Do ⚫

We bring you Humanity Framework™, a teachable, executable, human-focused set of ideas to help you build your own business philosophy, management theory and sales methods that are built around a belief that people are complex human-beings, not simplistic machine-things.

⚫ How We Can Help ⚫

We help you build an empowered, enduring, self-sustaining business organization by offering several business assessment tools, a resource library, an on-line academy, ongoing training and coaching programs, and custom-built Learning Management Systems for large organizations.

🙋‍♀️ Can systems, processes, values, mission, and vision of growing businesses be legally protected as intellectual property rights?

A thread we often explore on The Business Philosopher Within You podcast is building a scalable business that can outlive its founders, creators, and leaders.

An important strategy in building such a business is to have a "business operating system" that is built around a self-empowered group of people who can carry it out, what I often call an Executable Business Philosophy.

But if we built such a business, what aspects of it are considered intellectual property, and can they be legally protected?

In this episode, I explored this question with Chris Bennett, founder of TIL® Technology-Innovation-Law LLC.

Some of the topics we covered were:

- What are the consequences of underrepresenting a company's most valuable asset?
- Can company founders leverage intellectual property (IP) to scale their businesses beyond themselves?
- What avenues exist for businesses to legally protect their business systems and processes?
- Which components of a company's "executable business philosophy" can be protected?
- What does the leadership need to have in place before such protection can be attempted?
- What needs to be in place for a company's knowledge and values to be protected as intellectual property?
- What role does Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) play in creating protectable IP?
- What is the role of human ingenuity in the age of AI in building a scalable business?

To scale or not to scale, that's the question...

If a company founder finds themselves to be a bottleneck in the growth of their business, it's important to scale the business beyond its dependency.

However, it also depends on whether the founder *wants* to scale.

According to Chris Bach with Netlify, there is nothing wrong with building a business with the sole objective of being one's own boss. However, if the founders are not clear about their vision, they may take initiatives -- raising capital, for example -- that may not be in line with that aspiration.

When I sat down to chat with Sunil Soares, founder and CEO of YDC, I was eager for an insightful conversation about starting, scaling, and exiting a successful business.

Little did I know, it would turn into a masterclass on building a data management business from scratch, identifying and approaching the right enterprise executives in selling data governance, and the absolute must-do's in getting an organization ready for exit.

From leaving a cushy corporate job to founding Information Asset, exiting to Private Equity and now leading YDC in AI economics, Sunil's journey is nothing short of inspiring. As we delved into the rubber-meets-the-road strategies in creating a scalable organization, we also touched upon Sunil's moments of challenges and his series of triumphs.

My ultimate surprise, however, was when Sunil shared what he discovered about himself on this journey. Perhaps you would be just as surprised as I was.

I have a confession to make.

When I showed up at the appointed time to record this podcast episode, I already knew that I was about to speak to a brilliant mind.

However, when I finished my conversation with Christian (Chris) Bach, co-founder of Netlify, I had not yet processed much of what he had shared in the conversation.

That came later, when I went through the footage for edits.

It's when I listened to each morsel of insight along the way—which added up to about 20 in a 1:15 hour conversation—that I truly realized the depth of experience and know-how that went into the conversation.

Each minute of this conversation is packed with insights that take years to develop.

As I go through this episode looking for clips to share, I am still finding new insights. I have learned more about the business of web architecture and the business of scaling it than I have gained in decades. (I am a recovering techie 🙂, so I am fairly competent with tech-talk.)

If you are looking to start a business in the tech field or have already built an established business that you want to scale beyond yourself, you are in for a real treat.

This 1 hour and 15 minutes is not just a conversation; it's a master class on revolutionizing a field, developing a new architecture, and building a technology platform for developing the next generation of web applications.
