Well, we are in coach class this trip. 😞. But the good news is we have lots of legroom! Having an electrical issue though so I hope it’s just a minor delay. We are ready to vacay in Barcelona!!

I’m not getting paid for this endorsement, but these Hey Dude shoes are the best. I saw a woman with them on a plane and she said to buy some - “most comfortable shoes ever”! And they are! Great support and so light! Love them! At the gate in Newark getting ready to board for Barcelona. So excited!!!!!

Our first safari camp was Sanctuary Chief Camp in the Okavango Delta. What an amazing place! But the best feature was the staff. Check out those smiles! They made us feel so welcome. Thank you , Tim, our guide for the wonderful game viewing and sundowners!

Thanks United for beginning nonstop service between Newark and Johannesburg! We were on the inaugural flight and there was such a celebration both in Newark and the welcome in Johannesburg. Even though the flight is long - 15+ hours - it makes the trek to Africa so much easier. And the splurge to Polaris Class is worth it! Just like a mini hotel for the night.

What an incredible morning. We found the Marsh Pride. We saw 20 members of the pride and watched them for a long time. Both dominant males were with the pride as well as the dominant female. I trusted our guide, Rob, when he said the lions just saw me as part of the vehicle so tried not to panic when they came within six inches of me and looked me straight in the eye!! Absolutely breathtaking.
