Everly and I have spent all day in the airport. Our flight kept getting delayed due to weather.

I wanted to share a couple of things:

1. Sometimes things happen that aren’t planned and are out of our control. Weather happens, life happens. It’s up to us to make the best out of whatever situation we are given.

2. A lot of people hate Spirit, but they have a direct flight from New Orleans to Orlando that is normally cheap and I’ve never had an issue. I booked late and ended up with a United Airlines flight that had a layover in Houston, TX. Tonight I’m spending the night in New Orleans, because even if I made it to Houston tonight our Orlando flight would have been canceled. My friend, Brittany Berry Patrick booked the direct Spirit flight and she’s currently at our Disney Resort living her best life 😝😂. Direct Flight = less chances of issues.

3. Airlines aren’t responsible for compensation for flights delayed due to uncontrollable circumstances such as weather. However, always pay attention to what’s going on, because say there are mechanical issues or something at the beginning of the flight that they have to check, etc. Then, that is considered controllable circumstances even if the weather is an issue too and they are responsible for room, transportation and food! All of my delays today were weather related, but our flight crew ran over their hours in the midst of waiting for the weather to clear up and that changed our circumstance from uncontrollable to controllable. Therefore, United Airlines has taken care of me and Everly for the night. 😉

4. TSA PreCheck is only $78 for 5 years. Do yourself a favor and get it!!! It’s worth every single penny. Especially, when traveling with kids!!

5. Today wasn’t a great travel day period, but days like this don’t happen all the time. Take the trip, make the memories, and live life to the fullest! Don’t sweat the small stuff. 😅

Now, I’m just hoping our 5:20 am flight has no delays or issues and we can get this vacation started. 🎉

I just want to take the time to thank every client, every agent that works under me, every person that shares my posts, etc. 💕

For those that don’t know, I decided in May 2023 that it was time to go out on my own and open my own travel agency. I have over 20 agents that are currently under me, and I am thankful for each and every one of them! It has been a good year of seeing my dreams come to pass. None of this would have ever been possible without all of the amazing support I have received for my business.
