We made it! The rain wont stop us!

Travel advisors are not exempt from delays and cancelations. We were on our way to the airport when our departing flight was delayed for 1hr. That meant that we would miss our connecting flight to Turks.

As inconvenient as a longer layer can be, please know that it's better than a short layover for this very reason. We had to completely reschedule and fly out later.

No one wants to sit at the airport for 2-3hours, myself included. But standing in a line trying to reschedule your missed connection is way more headache than scheduling the extra cushion of time.

I knew this going into booking our own travel and took the risk. So if I suggest a 2 or 3 or layover, I'm trying to save you the trouble in the event something changes for you. Long gone are the days of multiple nonstop options sadly. So for now, embrace the break between flights, take a walk, stretch the legs, grab a bite, have a drink. You're on vacation!
