Carnival Announcement for Galveston: Carnival will have 4 ships home ported in Galveston year-round, beginning Spring of 2021!
Carnival Radiance will join the Galveston-based fleet sailing 5 and 9 day cruises and more! Carnival Radiance will undergo an extensive bow-to-stern $200 million renovation next year that will add all of the Carnival’s food, beverage and entertainment innovations, bringing an exciting new option to the Galveston!
The extensive 38-day renovation of the ship will add a host of new food and beverage outlets including Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse created by Food Network star Guy Fieri, Cucina del Capitano family-style Italian restaurant, Bonsai Sushi, and Caribbean-inspired Red Frog Pub, and the first Big Chicken restaurant created by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer, Shaquille O’Neal. All of the ship’s spaces will be transformed including the water park, youth facilities, retail shops, Cloud 9 Spa and a new Liquid Lounge home to Carnival’s dazzling, high-tech Playlist Productions shows.
Itineraries Include:
- One 12-day Carnival Journeys Panama Cruise departing Port Canaveral May 2 and arriving in Galveston May 14, 2021
- 5 -day cruises departing Sundays to Cozumel and either Progreso or Costa Maya
- 9-day cruises departing Fridays – 3 different alternating itineraries:
- Cozumel, Limon (Costa Rica), and a partial Panama
Canal transit or a visit to Colon (Panama)
- Key West, Grand Turk, the private Bahamian island of
Half Moon Cay and Nassau
- Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), Belize,
Costa Maya and Cozumel

These are eight-port cruises, visiting top destinations throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America and the Panama Canal!
- 10/24/2021: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – Aruba – Curacao - Cartagena, Colombia - Panama Canal Partial Transit - Limon, Costa Rica
- 01/16/2022: Key West, FL - Amber Cove, Dominican Republic - San Juan, Puerto Rico - St. Thomas, USVI - St. Kitts, WI - St. Maarten, NA - Tortola, BVI - Montego Bay, Jamaica
Carnival Breeze will return to Galveston with 4 and 5 day cruises! Carnival Breeze will become the newest and largest ship to operate a short cruise itinerary from Galveston when it kicks off year-round four- and five-day cruises from that port May 5, 2021
- 4-day long “weekend cruises” departing Thursdays and featuring a day-long visit to Cozumel
- 5-day voyages departing Mondays and Saturdays with stops at Cozumel and either Progreso or Costa Maya
- Two special 7 day holiday sailings departing December 20 and 27, 2021
Carnival Dream will shift to 6 day and 8 day Caribbean voyages! (Carnival Freedom, which currently operates this itinerary, will be deployed to another homeport to be announced shortly)
Beginning May 8, 2021 Carnival Dream will sail:
- 6-day cruises visit Costa Maya, Cozumel and Belize or Mahogany Bay.
- 8-day cruises feature Key West, Freeport, Half Moon Cay and Nassau.
Carnival Vista will continue its popular 7 day Caribbean cruises! The largest ship in our fleet! Carnival Vista will continue with two different three-port, seven-day western Caribbean options:
- 7-day cruises to Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel;
- 7-day cruises to Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Ocho Rios or Montego Bay
- Three special December 2021 holiday sailings, 6-day, 7-day and 8-day
