Always have a blast with Andy!!! Today had his better half Jordan and and the 2 kiddos, Bryson and Kowen. Today was about the kids and seeing how they'd do offshore, they did great!!! Kiddos had a few small tuna, Jordan fought a sharknwhich got to keep my plug, killed a nice wahoo and missed a few other bites. Off tomorrow and back at it on Sat.

Had Craig and his crew back today. Slow this morning scrapping thru some blackfins and then wandered north a bit before turning back to where we started. Fleet had moved off in search mode, I knew there was fish there so we went to work, like Michael said, " Beat It". We had a few more short bites, then a blue showed up on the mid rigger, got it on a pitch bait and well, let's call this Heart Break video....

Man we had a fun day yesterday, great fishing but the catching was slow. Started off looking for blackfin but they just weren't there in the numbers they normally are and lots of false albacore. We kept a few falsies as they wanted to play with sharks later. We killed enough tuna for the catch n cook that night and went to goofing around. Put the "bobber" rig out for sharks, and Chris went to jigging for AJs. Sharks were actually slower than normal, and we had to wait for once. Caught a couple AJs on the jig, and both Hope and Chris got some time in the chair, pulling on toothy critters. We finished the day with a kickass dinner of fresh tuna poke', tuna tacos, and fried AJ bites at Striper's Bar n Grille.

I have Monday Aug the12th open and weather looks great off Oregon Inlet. I can do an 8hr/$1400 or 12hr/$1800 plus deckhand tip. $450 a head for walkons. 757-567-2468

Been away the last week on a road trip back to Northern MI for a wedding. Of course i fished up there, browns, rainbows, bluegills and lost a nice Skamania. Wedding was awesome and congrats to my "sis", she found a good one. Then Champ and I hauled ass back to Smith Mountain Lake for some striper fishing, was able to hookup with one of my clients and we had a blast, even tho it rained, dam it rained. Checked out a few other things and we are back in OBX and plan to start fishing again next week.

Hellova a day on the water. Rolled out at 0400 and on thr blackfins with the sunrise. They slowed shortly afterwards and we went to tilefishing. After that we caught Caylor a shark, then ran north looking for a wahoo or yellow, found some grass and had fun with the bailers. Went back to the troll but no love, no problem as we had a blast already and Mike, Katlin and Kaylor were all passed out.

Had to take Champ in for X-Rays this morning. Was fine last night, woke up this morning and won't use his right leg. Thought broken to but luckily looks like just a bad sprain. Best I can remember an angler stepped on his foot one of the last trips. Always happens, he sleeps in the worst spots. He'll be fine and is high a a friggin kite right now..

Dam good trip nearshore yesterday, well kinda nearshore. Had Lisa and Brad yesterday and we started looking for grasslands inside but the little bit of wind we had overnight scattered it out. We started off with 4 big AJs, killed out 2, then we snacked a 25lb king, a 50lb class yellow for Brad, then a 70lb wahoo for Lisa. Having a full box we started working our way home. Found a break and some bailers, only needing a couple called my bud Jamie on the Phideaux in and he took care of the rest. Then we finished it with a BADDASSSSS catch n cook at Striper's Bar n Grille....

Been a busy week, just haven't taken the pics, I'm slacking I know. Thurs the troll sucked for us, we ended the day with tiles and AJs. Friday we were back offshore but this time we started off jigging as the crew liked the sound of that and big sharks. Couldn't get an AJ past the sharks em so we put the shark gear in. Didn't take long and TayTay was hooked up, about 40min and she had a 300lb class toothy bastard alongside. Then her younger sis was up and she had one in the low 200s. Weather got sh*tty between the wind picking up, rain and a few seasick kiddos we ran in. Stopped near the beach and slammed the false albacore to finish a fun day off. Today we had a nearshore, ran south and got on the kings, AJs and some big bluefish.
