From smiles to panic… flight was cancelled while we were in route to airport. Cancelled not delayed! They told us that Southwest had flights available for purchase and they would reimburse us up to $300(pp) but would take up to two weeks after we submitted receipts!! We were also told there were no flights to Denver direct or by way of transfers for the next 3 days at least from any Southern California airport(all were completely booked)! Family next to us went through the process of buying the flights on Southwest only to be told they weren’t going to have room for them. They offered us nothing but an I’m sorry! Finally after I was almost in tears the agent told me she found a flight out of San Diego Sat. Morning for the five of us. (We are in Orange County)! So now we are left trying to get our family of five down to SD on our dime because Frontier Airlines was having crew issues. If you know me you know I’ve always had wonderful things to say about Frontier. Will uses them for work travel and we’ve always flown with them for our family vacations. As a Travel Agent I have recommended them to all of my clients with absolutely no hesitation but after this experience I’m definitely rethinking my backing and referrals of Frontier Airlines ! I can’t imagine what we would have done if we didn’t have family close!

Hey there and HELLO Spring!!! I love this time of year, the trees are blossoming and the grass is starting to wake up! It's been a super busy start to the season! Many of our friends/clients are busy making memories on their Spring Breaks, while others are already home and ready to plan their next adventure! We've had friends go to Mexico, Florida (Walt Disney World/Universal Studios), California (San Diego/Disneyland/Universal Hollywood) and some who are just starting their trips this week! Heading to Disneyland’s California Adventure soon? Yesterday marked the start of Disney’s Food & Wine Festival which will run through April 26th. The sip & Savor Pass is $57 or $52 for Magic Key Holders, there is also a discount for Disney Chase card holders. This is a great way to experience the festival! With the pass you are able to try 8 different festival exclusive items from any booth! You can purchase your PASS at Elias & CO or any booth through the park!

~Genie+ @ Disneyland~ First the breakdown…

Disney Genie - Basically like a day planner for your park day. *It’s FREE, you tell it what attractions, shows & food you like and it helps plan out your day.

Genie+ - Replacement for the FASTPASS/MAXPASS. It includes your Photopass photos/downloads. Rides for Genie+ at each park are listed below. Cost is $20 per person/per day! (Can be quite expensive for a big family).

Individual Lightning Lane Rides - A “FASTPASS” for 3 rides, 1 at Disneyland & 2 at California Adventure. Rides are listed below. The price of these varies by day and by ride. Rise of the Resistance has been $20 most days. That price is good for one entrance on that ride and is per person! 😳 This can be purchased alone or you can add it to Genie+ they are not mutually exclusive.

My opinion - Genie+ is great if you are at the park for one day and have a park hopper pass. You can get a ton of photos, and maximize your day at both parks. Also a good idea for a Disneyland only day. (More rides) I would not recommend on a California Adventure only day.

Individual Lightning Lane purchases - something important to note here. On our recent visit, both days we tried to use this LLpass for Rise. Both days the line was over an hour and a half. The regular line was over 3 hours. CM’s tried to stress that the LL was simply a shorter wait pass not front of the line pass. Definitely not worth it in my opinion. I would definitely go the route of Rope Dropping these LL rides. Now LL lines for Webslingers and Radiator Springs were short and the pass was a lot less expensive. That being said I would still try to rope drop these rides OR visit them closer to park closing. Lines are always shorter 30 minutes prior to close.

** Please note Rise of the Resistance closes earlier than Park Hours. We went at 9 pm on a midnight park close night and it was closed for the evening. Next night we went at 8:30pm and were informed it was closed. Don’t risk riding this one at close as the closing hours fluctuate.
