Halloween Horror Nights HYPE season is among us my friends!! The rumors are beginning to emerge....What houses will they introduce? What scare zones will they have? What theming will reign supreme? This is my 18 month old, Ellie, seeing Elsa on stage at Magic Kingdom and hearing Let It Go Live in front of the castle. It was absolutely precious watching her "sing" along silently and doing all of the dramatic movements with Elsa. She was so starstruck I swear. I have taken Ellie 4 times to Disney World since she was born, and each trip has been a different but incredibly special experience with her. For all of those telling you to wait to take your kids until they will remember it - I can promise you, you will not have a single regret taking your little ones to Disney and watching them experience it. What does 1 point mean you ask? You see, the Disney Dining Plan is based on a point system. For each night of your stay, you are allotted the following points:
- 1 Snack per person per night
- 1 Quick Service Meal per person per night
- 1 Sit down meal per person per night
- Also included - one resort refillable mug per person upon arrival
These points are granted to you in a "lump sum" to be used however you would like. For example - if you want to use all of your snack credits in one day - you can! When it comes to sit down meals that are included in the Disney Dining Plan, your dining plan is accepted at most restaurants throughout Disney's parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. The question I am most often asked - are character meals included with the dining plan? The answer is YES, all Character Meals are included with the Disney Dining Plan. However, some will cost you 2 points vs 1, meaning if you want to dine at a 2 point restaurant you will need to skip a sit down meal one day of your trip to roll the point over (more on those 2 point restaurants later). However, almost all character dining locations are considered one point meals, which means technically - you could eat at a character meal every single day of your trip if you want! Have questions? When you stay at a Deluxe Resort on Disney Property you are granted an additional 2 hours to stay in both Epcot and Magic Kingdom on select nights during your stay. This may not seem like a lot, but you can get a HUGE amount done in that amount of time when the parks are practically empty, not to mention, experiencing the parks with minimal crowds is such a special treat!
🏰 **Currently ** extended evening hours are available on Monday Nights at Epcot, and Wednesday nights at Magic Kingdom - subject to change and hours can vary, but typically an additional 2 hours after park close.
🏰 Extended evening hours are available only to Deluxe Resort guests - meaning wait times are minimal and the parks are nearly empty during these times.
🏰 Most rides will be a walk on experience, Limited food and drinks will be available, and the shops are practically empty. Additionally, Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy - which both usually require virtual queue to ride - are walk ones as well!
🏰 You DO have to have a regular ticket to the park you are going to, or a park hopper, to experience Extended Evening Hours!
