These past few weeks have been ... well, challenging at best. So many of our friends, family and neighbors have sacrificed and struggled during the Covid-19 crisis. Phil Thomason at State Farm Insurance in Eufaula and June's have teamed up to say a big thanks to the community and to those who've been on the front lines in first responder capacity.

On Wednesday, May 20, 1st Responders will eat free at June's. And on Wednesday, May 27, the first 50 guests to make it in the door will receive a $5 discount off their meal. It's our way of saying, Thank you, and we love you, from the depths of our heart!

A big thanks and shout out to the Phillip Thomason agency for helping make these two events possible!

We are planning our "Storywalk Celebration" at the Sports Complex this Saturday, May 16th, from 10am to noon. We invite you to come celebrate with us. Professor B. Looney will be there with some puppet friends, we will have treats, and will be giving away books. Enjoy the story as you walk the trail. See if you can find the hidden code word for a chance to win a prize. We hope you will join the fun this Saturday and make walking and reading part of your regular routine.

Memories for generations! Here is a great selling point, yearbook kiddos - people can look back for years to come and see what businesses were in Checotah, what they looked like, where they were located and what they sold. Super cool for sure!!

I think these go up to the late or middle 70's. Thank you to all businesses and individuals who have supported the yearbooks from all schools! Y'all ROCK!! Y'all also preserved yourselves in history for future generations!

Hello Friends! We are here to support local businesses, community and all the other things that need supporting (my brain locked up and when it unlocks - I'll adjust this post). 😉

Soon we will be off of lockdown and we will be ready to event like we have never evented before!! When that happens we will want a central place to go and learn about those events, specials and awesome fun things happening around town - well look no further! We will try to keep this page as up-to-date as humanly possible.

Also, we need to shop local more than ever before, my friends! It is going to be so hard for our fellow Checotah business owners to open back up and get back to the old normal (as well as for us to have the money to be able to support - I already know - I am in the canoe behind you paddling in a circle)! All I'm saying is, if you are thinking...hmm some restaurant in Tulsa sounds good - well, there are a good number of ones here in your home town that NEED you. Dinner and a movie...well we have that in your hometown too 🥰. Need some exercise?? Bowling sounds fun...and oh my goodness do they have some delicious grub! Museums (not much food in these - but lots of brain food 🤣). We probably all need new clothes now after staying home for so long 😳.
