The former hayloft in the North Barn at the farm provided a special setting for The Overcomer Course in late June. About 30 young adults came for two days to hear and discuss important issues such as God and the gospel, time, work, money, singleness, marriage, and more.

This was an event for the non-profit Brodie and I are involved with. Perfect place with God's glorious creation all around!

Some past guests came for bird watching and they catalogued 50 species of birds on the website eBird during their stay! (List is available upon request.)

Recurring comment by guests: "Loved watching birds on the feeders!"

Native wildflowers are in full bloom at the farm. Beautiful walk up driveway.

July has been busy rental month but there is some availability in August and September if you'd like to come and "listen to the quiet"!

Haven't posted farm updates in a while but will try to catch up in coming week or so. Lots has been going on there between farmhouse rentals, events, storage customers, and property maintenance.

Here's a scrap wood burn after the basement project was complete. Tip: have one designated place on your farm for burning wood with screws and nails!

Good news is pear tree on left and two apple trees on right are blooming. But leaves are a little curled so jury is still out on whether major pruning in March will be net positive.

One of the features we love about Stone House Farm is the 1/4 mile long driveway that takes you from Sawmill Road up to the farmhouse. Sawmill Road is very quiet and being this far away from the road makes for even more quiet. Great walk along the native prairie grass as well!

What you couldn’t see during evergreen trimming. Fredrickson Masonry did beautiful job renovating outdoor fireplace at farm last year. Patio is a favorite spot to gather ‘round for meal and fire!

Love the long, rolling, rural views at the farm. Makes hauling branches more enjoyable, even as the swing chair beckons!

Before and after pruning of pear tree at farm!

Will be very interesting to see what this degree of prune-back does to this tree and the two apples to the right of it.

Family project today pruning two overgrown apple trees at farm. They were same size as pear tree on left! (That needs pruning too.) I know, trees looked chopped but apple orchard in Jordan recommended a big cutback.

Also, thank you to the couple who checked out yesterday for leaving the farmhouse in such great condition. Could hardly tell that they had been in house!
