Exciting news, Character Experiences return this November! 🙌 🤩
Today, Disney announced that live entertainment, the beloved Disney Character Experiences, and Indiana Jones are returning to Walt Disney World this fall!
Starting in November, guests will have the opportunity to meet certain Disney characters. As a mom of two littles, I am ecstatic about this news! Disney Characters are so much of the magic. In the announcement, Disney stated, "Although the environment is not right just yet for hugs and autographs, guests will soon be able to have individualized time with some of their favorite characters, getting to visit with them in a themed location and snap a photo or two."
Disney Princesses to return to Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, guests will soon find Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and the stars of Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard. And when guests stop in to see Mickey Mouse backstage at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A., he'll be sporting his all-new EARidescent look designed just for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!
November 7 also marks the return of “Disney Movie Magic,” the cinematic nighttime experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrating Disney’s live-action film legacy, and when this projection show resumes, it will feature a new sequence from Disney’s epic adventure, “Mulan.” And guests can mark their calendars for December 19, when the cast and crew of “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular” bring back all the comedy and thrills of that action-packed show.

Disney Cruise Line to Resume Bahamian Voyages from Florida in August

Beginning August 9, the Disney Dream will kick off its long-awaited return to cruising from the U.S.—with tropical voyages to the Bahamas departing from Port Canaveral, Florida. Three- and four-night cruises will visit our private island, Castaway Cay, for an unforgettable vacation at sea.

Important Health & Safety Update

Disney is adapting their health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status. At Walt Disney World Resort, this includes upon entering and throughout all attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, including shuttles, buses, monorails and at Disney Skyliner.

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, July 1 marks the start of nightly fireworks performances at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
At Disneyland Park in California, the fun starts July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic” presented nightly throughout the summer.

Walt Disney World Resort Health & Safety Measures Update

Beginning June 15, you will start to notice the following changes:

FACE COVERINGS
Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in most areas. Face coverings will still be required of all Guests on Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails and Disney Skyliner. While proof of vaccination will not be required, it is expected Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attractions and transportation. Guests must observe current policies on face coverings until June 15.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Physical distancing guidelines will be relaxing for Guests. This will be visible in places like queues, shops, restaurants, attraction boarding, transportation and theaters. It’s important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable.

CLEANING
Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer stations will still be available.

We are Halfway 2 Halloween, and Disney has announced a new Halloween-themed Disney After Hours event coming this fall to Magic Kingdom Park!

“Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will take place on select nights, Aug. 10-Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to midnight*. Spooky festivities will include Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings throughout the park, special performances by the Cadaver Dans, décor, lighting, music, treat stops with plenty of candy and so much more!

Are you heading to Walt Disney World? Disney World has announced it would be phasing out guest temperature screenings.
Screenings for Cast Members ended on May 8. Beginning May 16, temperature screenings will no longer be required for Walt Disney World guests.
The Disney World website states, "As this guidance continues to evolve, and with the support of local health and government officials, we are making some additional adjustments. Following the advice of the CDC and our local health officials, we will phase out onsite temperature screenings at Walt Disney World Resort for Cast Members beginning May 8 and Guests on May 16."

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins July 15 at Walt Disney World Resort!

This year’s event will kick off with Global Marketplaces, including the return of many favorites – Canada, Greece, Germany, Hops and Barley, Appleseed Orchard and others. Even more marketplaces will join the international smorgasbord as the festival continues on into the fall before wrapping on Nov. 20, 2021.

Spring is in the air at Walt Disney World Resort today as the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival blooms now through July 5, 2021. This event spreads its butterfly wings across the entire park, offering fun for the whole family inspired by the season.

Check out nearly 100 individual topiaries all around the park, many featuring Disney characters.
Take leisurely walks through 20 different garden areas, like the English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London in the United Kingdom pavilion.
Indulge in fresh bites and sips from more than 20 locations, including Outdoor Kitchens around World Showcase.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is reopening on March 7, 2021.

The One-Day Water Park Ticket is now available, as well as other ticket options. Tickets will remain valid through Dec. 31, 2021.

When Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park reopens, it will operate in alignment with the health and safety protocols implemented throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, including reduced capacity, temperature screenings, physical distancing markings and face coverings.

Celebrating its grand opening just last weekend, Gideon’s new flagship location is already a popular destination at Disney Springs. Nestled in the heart of The Landing is where you will find this incredible bakery packed with handmade, almost half-pound cookies, double frosted cakes, and delicious iced coffees. Not only is the menu amazing, but the dark and mysterious atmosphere themed to an old bookshop creates an unforgettable experience as soon as you walk through the door including some interactive elements inside. Gideon’s Bakehouse carries the same popular menu from their original East End Market location with a few Disney Springs exclusive offerings like the ever-popular Coffee Cake Cookie and hot cookie hour each evening.
