So I got out yesterday with the dogs and the GoPro and got the video editor working today.

It was a great day yesterday afternoon and we took the skiff through the mangroves. The Mangrove channels were built by the pirates 400 years ago to hide from the British. Today they're a beautiful local tour. And the dogs love the boat ride and seeing the other boats and people.

At the entrance on our side of the Mangrove channels/ tunnels, there's a little Sandbar that's not very deep that we stopped to play on.

I'd sit here and boast about how great they are, just as Tootsie jumps in the water and swims across the channel and takes a 15-minute detour through the point of the peninsula. 🤦🤦🤦

A beautiful shot of the small (~100 yds long) reef in the middle of Carib (our) Bay.

It's a veritable nursery loaded with juvenile species of everything along the larger reef. It's also easily accessible and an excellent place to learn to snorkel. There's a concrete block with a float to tie up your kayak/paddle board that's in the turtle grass about 4 ft deep.

It's even beautiful if you're not a beginner.

From your balcony, it looks like a tabletop, and hence the name "Tabletop Reef". Eagle rays, lobster, conch, octopus, squid, barracuda, grouper, snapper, bumblebees, etc.

We also have tie-ups at "Hurricane Ridge" and "Purple Fancy". Both awesome snorkels and scuba dives.

Three reefs, a shipwreck, entrance to the mangrove tunnels and the Blue Lagoon... And an Infinity pool reaching out over a small private beach on the bay.

Kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, and a private scuba shop to take care of your stuff at the end of the day. Restaurants just a few minutes away with awesome expat vibes. Tour guides come and pick you up right at the dock.

So far, we've had to respond to several friends' posts with the following pictures expressing how we feel about their negative freezing temperatures and wind situation in the US.

I'm going to repost it here cuz we just can't keep up with all of you....

We moved the fish cleaning table to the end of the dock... And all the carcasses are getting dropped off the edge.

It's become a busy spot.

There's at least three or four of them down there.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather today to turn off all the things we really moved here to not see and went out around the corner for a dive at Patty's Place & the Train Station which is rarely disappointing.

Today was one of those days where it shined. Lots of fish. And a big beautiful Nurse shark. With a quick stop through Purple Fancy (and Tangs!) at the end.

Three reefs, a shipwreck, entrance to the mangrove tunnels, an infinity pool overlooking our own small private beach, and a quiet and serene bay... Incredible views clear to the mainland. And sunsets that will blow you away are scheduled on time and for you every evening.

Super cool Snorkel off the point today. It was extremely beautiful as we entered the bay as the bay is generally cloudy... And we had this big fella stalking us through the entire snorkel.

You just can't grasp it with a camera. It doesn't work that way I guess. But the video sure gives you a better idea of how clear and visible the mainland is today. FISH ARE FRIENDS! NOT FOOD! 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 Beautiful day out at Pigeon Key with our guests. Lots of nurse sharks and a few rays. Two different types of trunk fish, some permit, Black snapper, large school of tangs (always a favorite). And blessed with a lemon shark towards the end. Come and get away from your regular getaway. Beautiful dive of the reef this Sunday off of Hurricane Point. Every site is my favorite. And it's ok because I get to make the rules 😎😎😎😉.

The level of incredible for today's dive cannot be understated... I've never seen such a large variety... of so many fish of each type... of the largest variety of those fishes... Everywhere...😳😳😳 Anywhere! Most impressive to see nature bring it all together right in the same spot right in front of us.
