Sorry this page has been quiet lately. Life happened. In November, I reached out to my college roommate to wish her a happy birthday and plan our next adventure. I never got to connect with her. She was in the hospital suffering complications from Cystic Fibrosis. I had a trip planned for the first weekend in January to visit her and then pushed it up to the day after Christmas. Unfortunately, I received news on Christmas night that her time was up. I saw her in OBX last year and will always cherish our time together. Life is short. I miss her but know she’s no longer in pain.

My advice for 2025: find ways to say yes to adventures. Take the trip, buy the shoes, eat the cake, make the phone call to a friend or family. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

Our sister property, Lucky Break Kill Devil Hills Oceanfront Condo, had a cancellation due to Hurricane Helene. Our guests were from Asheville and can’t leave the area due to all of the devastation.
