📺 Okay, so the TV isn’t the main reason you booked your Disney vacation, but it’s got some pretty cool features you’ll appreciate. For starters, that “Welcome Home” screen when you first step foot into your room is the perfect way to get into vacation mode 🏰✨. Did you know in addition to featuring the current weather and park hours 🌞, it comes with a lot of free Disney programming? From classic animated movies 🎬, Disney+ series, and even Happily Ever After fireworks 🎆, there’s always something fun to watch for a quick break or a family movie night before bed. Plus, at select resorts, you can even stream your own shows on smart TVs, so you won’t have to avoid social media for fear of spoiling your latest show obsession 😉.

😮🎉 So, you decided to skip the traditional Thanksgiving this year and head to the Wizarding World instead? In my best Harry Potter voice, “Brilliant choice!” 🧙—because is there a better way to spend the holiday than wandering the streets of Diagon Alley with a Butterbeer in hand? 🍻 But even if you’re passing on the turkey and stuffing, you can still get some seriously cozy comfort food at Leaky Cauldron. Bangers and Mash, Cottage Pie, Shepherd’s Pasty Pie, Beef Stew… and an assortment of other “stick to your ribs” options 🍲✨.

Who says you need turkey and cranberries to make Thanksgiving special? 🍂 Sometimes a Muggle just needs a plate of wizarding comfort food 🥧. If you were at Universal on Thanksgiving day, would you seek out a traditional sit-down meal, or completely forgo the big meal? 🍽️✨

Not the camping type? Trust me, this is NOT ROUGHING IT 🏕️. Have you taken a look at the new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground yet? Scroll through these pics! 📸 You may decide you are a camper after all. There is room for 6, a full kitchen with all the gadgets you need 🍳, bunk beds 🛏️, and two separate bathroom sinks 🚰. It’s Princess Day, but let’s switch things up and celebrate the one and only Princess Peach from Super Nintendo World! 👑 If you’ve got kids who can’t get enough of Mario Kart 🚗💨, or you grew up playing Donkey Kong 🐒, then you’re going to love this. You can meet Princess Peach (Mario & Luigi too) at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood! 🍄 It’s the ultimate experience for the Mario Kart obsessed and feels just like you’ve walked into a video game 🎮. There’s a lot to know about experiencing this land to the fullest, so let me help you make the most of the trip if you plan to visit!

HOWEVER, if a west coast adventure isn’t in the cards, Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe opens on May 22, 2025, and will have both Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country 🍌! Time for some real talk...It’s not unheard of to walk 10+ miles per day around the Disney parks 🏰🚶‍♂️, so you want to have some training and strategies under your belt, so your legs and feet don’t fail you 👟. After many visits, here’s my advice:

Break in new shoes: Please, oh please, don’t try out new shoes on a Disney trip 🙏. You want some time to walk around the neighborhood before the start of your park days. Chances are those super cute shoes 👠 are actually the worst park shoe ever. Bring those ugly, worn-in ones just in case!

Choose shoes with great support: It’s not just the miles you walk; it’s also the standing in one place for long periods of time ⏳. You want cushion and support that will keep your feet and back from aching ❤️.

Take breaks when you can: Watch some shows 🎭, go on longer attractions 🎢, or enjoy a table-service meal 🍽️ to give you a chance to take a load off (and usually get some A/C too!) 🌬️.

Pickles aren’t just for sandwiches; they’re a Christmas tradition too! 🥒 In Germany, families hide a pickle ornament on their Christmas tree 🎄. The first person to find it on Christmas morning gets an extra present from Old Saint Nick 🎅. What a fun way to get everyone to take a good look at all the ornaments on the tree while adding a little extra pixie dust ✨ to the holiday festivities!

Stop by EPCOT’s Germany pavilion to learn more about this fun, quirky tradition and maybe snag your own pickle ornament as a fun souvenir of your trip or as a gag gift for the pickle-obsessed person in your life 🥒😂. I think we all have one of those! Anyone take part in this tradition? 🎄

At Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, children can write and mail letters to Santa Claus! Everything needed—paper, crayons, and a mailbox—is provided ✏️📬. This is one of those touches that just makes a person fall in love with the Disney magic! ✨

🤔Decisions, decisions…can’t decide which character meal to book? The struggle is real! 😅 There are so many options, and honestly, it’s hard to know which one’s THE ONE. BUT…if you’re looking for something fun, delicious, and maybe a little less chaotic than some of the bigger character meals, let me just throw Chip and Dale’s Harvest Feast at Garden Grill into the ring 🐿️🐿️🌱.

Hosted by Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto, this restaurant slowly rotates with views of the Living with the Land attraction! The food is farm-fresh (literally—many of the veggies are grown right there in EPCOT’s Living with the Land!) 🥕🥒, and it’s all served family-style—so no buffet trips while juggling kids and characters. Plus, it’s quieter, more laid-back, and the characters tend to spend a little extra time at your table.

So, you're heading to Walt Disney World during the holidays…and you're wondering if you should drop the extra cash on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? 🎄 Honestly, who isn’t! It's a big splurge, and let’s be real—the trip already isn’t exactly easy on the wallet 💸.

But here’s the thing: that cost offers shorter wait times for the best rides 🎢, exclusive shows and parades you won’t see during the day 🎉, free holiday treats and cocoa ☕🍪, and snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A. ❄️. Or completely exhausting? 😅 If planning is starting to feel like a high-pressure mission, I’ve got some great ideas on how you can make your Disney park touring low stress ✨:

Buy the Lightning Lanes ⚡: It’s an additional cost, but no one wants to get all the way to Walt Disney World and spend precious park time standing in long lines.

Avoid visiting during school breaks 📅 if possible.

Take an afternoon break 😴: Avoid afternoon crowds, high temps, and exhaustion!

Time of day matters ⏰: Not a morning person? Try shutting down the parks instead of rope dropping. Crowds can be lower, and the temps cool down a bit.

Attend an After Hours event 🌙: Yes, it’s an extra cost, but these events are loved for the lower wait times and unique character meet-and-greets.
