I have even more fun arriving before this (stay tuned for my June trip to WDW!), BUT I absolutely cannot wait for this- and it's LESS than 6 weeks away for me!

I am thrilled to have an earned a spot on Utopia of the Seas preview event, which will take place directly before the official Inaugural sailing. Just like our cruise on Icon of the Seas earlier this year, I will have the opportunity to experience Royal Caribbean's newest ship firsthand- and be one of the first to step foot on it as well!

With shorter 3 or 4 night itineraries, Utopia will be the perfect addition to your Orlando trip! I truly cannot wait for this one!

I can’t believe we’re already so far into April! Looking at my calendar, I will be on some trip or another every single month through August☀️

This month, I’m back to Disneyland Resort, in California! This time around, I’ve coordinated an Agency Education Program for 20 agents within our agency. We will spending our days learning the highlights of selling the Happiest Place on Earth!

We will be visiting during Pixar Fest this year. I sure do hope I happen upon the rootin’-ist tootin’-ist cowboy in the wild Wild West again!

Come for a ride around Seuss Landing! 🐈🎩

It’s no secret that Universal appeals more to older/taller kids. Seuss Landing in Islands of Adventure is the perfect spot for those smaller members of the family! Even my thrill-loving elementary aged kids loved the attractions in this part of the park.

We’re staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort this trip, in a Volcano Bay water park view room. Cabana has 2 large towers you can see from the water park, and this room type has an unbeatable view of those amazing rides and slides! My kids have loved peeking out the window at the volcano all lit up at night. This is as close to a “Theme Park View” room as you can get at Universal!

Last but not least, check out the fun little touch of 50’s branded toiletries- Zest and VO5!

Tomorrow is the best day of March for me- it’s Universal Studios arrival day! ⚡️

As I pack, I can’t help but share my top travel tip for Universal (well, two tips in one):

-take a SMALL backpack for the parks. Don’t plan to drag around a full size bag, as you won’t be able to take it on most rides and they don’t fit in the free lockers. A Loungefly works perfectly for those lockers if you don’t overfill it!
-as a sub point- take along or invest in a lanyard with a clear pocket. You’ll need to scan your park ticket every time you open a storage locker (which is relevant on most rides), AND will need to show your Express Pass, if you have one, at each Express Lane. A lanyard is much more convenient than digging in your pockets each time.

Just over 12 hours until we’re airborne!

This summer, Universal Orlando Resort will debut DreamWorks Land – a vibrant new themed environment inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s beloved characters Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda. Located in the Universal Studios Florida theme park, the expansive area will feature tons of fun for the entire family and include a family-friendly coaster, multiple interactive play areas, live entertainment, character meet and greets and more.

As soon as guests step into the spectacular new land, the vivid world and imagination of DreamWorks Animation will surround them as they embark on exciting adventures like exploring Shrek’s Swamp just outside of his 35-foot-tall cottage, taking a ride on a dazzling Trollercoaster, interacting with Po in the Panda Village and meeting favorite characters like Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse. Guests will also discover unique treats, photo-op-worthy murals, interactive play areas, splash pads and entertainment offerings themed to popular DreamWorks stories and characters.

I'm officially less than a month out from my next trip- and it's another Mom and Big Kids trip! 👩‍👧‍👦

This time, I'll be taking my older 2 for their very first visit to Universal Orlando! 🌎 With higher height limitations than it's Magical Orlando neighbor, Universal is great for older elementary kids and up (or in the case of my middle kid: younger, tall, adventurous elementary kids...). We are geared up for all the thrill rides, coasters, and things that little kids can't do.

We will be staying at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, which will be a first for me, too! The amazing pool and lazy river here sold us. This hotel falls in the Prime Value class of resorts at Universal. I've stayed in every other resort class at Universal already, so I'm excited to get my own first hand experience with this one.

One of my favorite parts of cruising? The food, of course! I was lucky enough to be invited to enjoy one of Icon of the Seas’ specialty restaurants, Chops Grille. This restaurant is prix fixe.

Listen, I LOVE steak. And this filet was absolutely amazing! This was comparable to the quality of a higher-end steakhouse you’d find at home. Sides are served family-style and are plentiful.

My menu:
🥓grilled pepper bacon with sweet and spicy glaze
🥗crispy goat cheese salad (SO good!)
🥩9 oz filet
🍽️too many sides to count (asparagus, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese…)
🍰 and a classic NY style raspberry cheesecake to finish it all off
