Oh my goodness! I am blown away by everything How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk has to offer my dragon-loving kiddo! My excitement for EPIC Universe just keeps building and it is so hard to stay patient until this new theme park opens at Universal Orlando Resort in 2025!

I love Gideon’s release day, especially when I know I will be visiting during the month and will be able to sample their special release cookies myself!
🍓 The Strawberry Delight has me written all over it!
🔥 And the Eternal Flame was a big hit with hubby last year!
A few reminders when visiting Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs on your next Walt Disney World vacation:
⏰ Do set aside time for this on your Disney Springs day and stop by Gideon’s FIRST. The shop is very small and lines can build quickly. Typically, if the wait is between 20-60 minutes, it will be a stand-by line. When the line stretches past that, they may switch to a virtual queue system. Join the queue in person and they will text you when it is your time to return to the store, which may be a few hours later.
👨👩👧👦 There are limits on the amount of cookies you may purchase. Typically you may purchase 6 total per person with specialty cookies limited to 2, however, depending on how many specialty cookies are available your total per person limit may increase!
🍪 Not only are there monthly cookie specials and random limited releases, there are unique cookie offerings throughout the day! These include a Morning Coffee Cake Cookie available every morning until sell-out and the counterpart chocolate evening version. Don’t forget about Hot Cookie Hour twice a day, between 2-3pm and 7-8pm, where fresh from the oven Chocolate Chip Cookies are topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! This is a decadent treat you don’t want to miss!

Unsurprisingly, the first post of the new year is of course announcing Gideon’s monthly offerings.
Just a week and a half ago I visited Gideon's Bakehouse in Disney Springs to celebrate my son’s 11th birthday. He is the biggest Gideon’s fan and for months he had been asking to celebrate his birthday by enjoying Hot Cookie Hour at Gideon’s.
If I haven’t spread the word enough yet about Hot Cookie Hour, twice a day from 2-3pm and 7-8pm, Gideon’s offers fresh from the oven hot chocolate chip cookies with a massive scope of vanilla ice cream on top. It is an ooey gooey mess and it is just divine! And this is what my son desperately wanted to commemorate his day.
Besides Hot Cookie Hour, this tween also wanted a full day of his favorite Walt Disney World attractions and dinner at Space 220. Timing was key! My anxiety was pretty high waiting in line and the staff were amazing in helping me estimate the wait left. We made it inside when progress started to slow. We were about 5 people back in line with just a few minutes left in the hour. I spoke to another amazing lady behind the counter who said she would check on things. And sure enough, when I reached the register a few minutes past 3:00pm, she had kept out the last few hot cookies and ice cream for us so that my son could enjoy his dream birthday treat! As we left the building, staff manning the line celebrated with us that our plan was a success.

📰📣 Exciting news out of Walt Disney World!
👻 The Hatbox Ghost was unveiled inside The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom today!
👻This ghoulishly evil spook is well established in Disney lore, but until now, has never materialized at Walt Disney World.
👻 An original Mansion inhabitant when the attraction first opened in Disneyland in 1969, it was removed almost immediately due to technical difficulties. It took nearly five decades for a new incarnation of the Hatbox Ghost to appear in Disneyland and Walt Disney World fans have been waiting with bated breath ever since!
👻🧳 Only 15 more days before I can see him in Florida for myself, but until then, I’ll keep watching this clip from my last trip to Disneyland.

The Turkey Day leftovers are packed and the thumb is dangerously dangling over the ‘Buy Now’ button on numerous shopping sites. You know what that means? The holiday season is here!!!!
And my fav Gideon’s Bakehouse - Disney Springs is not wasting any time with some amazing seasonal offerings!
While this is holiday season for most families, it also happens to be birthday season for my family and our plan is in plan to visit Disney Springs for Gideon’s Hot Cookie Hour to celebrate a not-so little boy’s birthday in three weeks. I can’t wait to see this uber Gideon’s fan experience his first Hot Cookie Hour!

What an amazing first day at the Universal Orlando Resort! and I checked into and had a FABULOUS lunch at Amatista Cookhouse before heading into Universal Studios. We finished the night with a welcome dinner at the world’s largest Hard Rock Cafe located in Universal’s CityWalk. So excited for training and resort tours today!

This week has been my most popular week for Walt Disney World resort check-ins for the entire year! So many families excited to experience the spooktacular Halloween vibes!
The thing I can’t stop thinking about are the 8 kids from these families who are all experiencing their first Disney trip!
I am so excited to see pictures of their little faces as they see Cinderella Castle for the first time, get that long awaited hug from Mickey, and soar through the sky on a flying elephant!
Most of these families have been planning for these magical memories for a year or more and I’ve loved being with them every step of the way.
I absolutely love helping families plan their first Disney trip! And the best advice I can give is, don’t wait! Time is the one thing you can never get back.

Did you know that the first Disnayland was actually located in rural England?
No, spell check did not let me down today. I just learned that a mere 20-minutes from the English village where my husband grew up, is the village named Norton Disney. Yes, that Disney!
In 1949, Walt Disney and his family spent an afternoon exploring this village and learning about his own ancestral roots in the area. In fact, the first Disney settlers to the area named their homestead Disnayland! Walt Disney was so moved by this visit, he incorporated nods to the family crest he first saw that day into Disney parks and films from that point forward!
The more you travel, the more you realize how connected the world actually is. And yes, I will be visiting Norton Disney next time we’re in Lincolnshire!

🎉 Today is looking like it will be a BIG news day out of Walt Disney World and some of the best news is leading the parade!
🎉 All-day park hopping between the four Walt Disney World theme parks will return January 9th!
🎉 Starting January 9th, guests with Park Hopper tickets will no longer need to wait until 2 pm to ‘hop’ to their second park. In addition, Park Reservations will no longer be required at this time either. This means, guests with Park Hopper tickets will have full flexibility to go to any Disney World theme park whenever they want on their vacation!

Another great Disney day in the books!
*** UPDATE - they are here to stay! *** Some amazing news for fans of The Mandalorian today! Mando and Grogu (aka ’The Child’ aka ‘Baby Yoda’) are now meeting guests in both Disneyland AND Disney World!!! Meeting these two in Disneyland was a highlight of my December trip and I’m so excited to see the experience come to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge inside Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Details are still emerging after today’s surprise addition. Disneyland Paris recently announced the temporary visit of these intergalactic travelers in celebration of the new season of The Mandalorian on Disney+. No word yet whether Mando and Grogu are simply passing through or if they will make a permanent home on Batuu (in Florida).
I realized that I owe you all some footage of this magical holiday overlay on Disneyland’s It’s a Small World that I have been raving about!
