Operational Impacts include:

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

On Wednesday, October 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM
Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM.
It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs on Thursday in the late afternoon, with limited offerings.

This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.

Transportation

Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating on Wednesday, October 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.

Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

Recreation

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment.

There are no events planned for ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex until the weekend.

Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences

Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.

Prepaid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

Ever wonder what mom life looks like on vacation? It’s a bucket full of wonderful mixed with a cocktail! I absolutely love vacationing with my daughters! Now don’t get me wrong, a couples getaway is necessary and amazing but that can’t happen every time right?!

🌺🌴🌺 This is what our itinerary looked like for our Florida Keys trip. This was a multigenerational trip meaning we had my family from my daughter, age 4, to my grandmother! It was an excellent trip. When you plan some thing for different generations, it can be a little bit tough because everyone wants to do something different. Making a plan was key for us, we were able to use what everyone was doing to split up and then meet up.

⭐️‼️ Before we created the itinerary I asked everyone what they wanted to do. The guys just kept saying fishing so that was easy! I told them to lmk their plans and while they were off doing that I would plan adventures for the ladies!

🌴🌺🌴 Of course we didn’t get to everything. You will never get everything done, accept it before you go and save if for the next trip (bc trust me once. You go to the keys you will keep going back/ Florida had a way with people! I guess that’s why t swift says it’s one hell of a drug!)

If you are considering a multigenerational or multi family trip, let me know, I’d love to help you plan it.

‼️⭐️‼️Tip: be mindful of everyone’s wants and need. It’s important to know it’s ok to up! My family wanted to see museums but my daughters were tapped out, they wanted to play! So divide and conquer and set a meet up time. It’s ok!! Everyone was happy because everyone got what they wanted and you can have something to talk about.

No tricks here - dates have been announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2024! Disney is conjuring up more spooky spectacles at this separately-ticketed event, which takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort!👻

This year’s separately ticketed event will kick off Aug. 9 and will take place on select nights through Oct. 31 at Disney World. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale May 15.
