Completed my FAA Part 107 Drone certification today. Passed the test with a 95, I thought I had aced it but apparently, I missed 3. 🤣 I would not recommend trying to take it without taking an online course and practicing with their online practice tests.

Greg is a good instructor and does a good job from making it boring. In addition to the video classes, there are PDF resources, audio reviews and many resources to prepare you.

We sailed on the Tall Ship Windy, located on Chicago’s Navy Pier in July. We tried to book for July 4 to enjoy the fireworks but the fireworks this year were canceled due to COVID. We did a sunset cruise and it is a beautiful and unique experience being on a large sailing vessel.

Milwaukee is full of street art downtown, Beautiful Graffiti, and Sculpture installations. Milwaukee is a very open and clean city and easy to walk and enjoy the art as well as the architecture.

Walking Michigan Avenue in Chicago, this part is also known as the Magnificent Mile. We did this walk in December so the Christmas Lights were up. There are many places to shop in this section, many of them are luxury brands. This is also home to the world's largest Starbuck Reserve Roastery.

We stayed recently at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago. Opened in 1910 it has hosted a dozen presidents, Al Capone, many movie stars, musicians, and celebrities. There is a lot of history and in the last renovation, they preserved much of the original character of the hotel. We especially recommend stopping off at the Art Hall level and also asking at the front desk if you can get a tour of the Barbershop where Al Capone hung out, and the Balinese Room which hosts the only copper dance floor in the USA.

We visited MingHin Cuisine in Chicago's Chinatown looking for Dim Sum, and we ended up trying out several dishes. We started with Pork Feet with Ginger and Vinegar. Crab Rangoons, and Sui Mai as well as Baked BBQ Pork Buns.

We recommend MingHin Cuisine if you find yourself in or near Chinatown.

MingHin Cuisine was established in 2010, providing authentic Hong Kong Cuisine and Dim Sum. They have won numerous consumer choice awards such as being named the Best Chinese Restaurant in IL, the Best Chinese Restaurant in the western suburbs, one of the best Dim Sum Restaurants in America, and are a 5 time Michelin Guide winner.

We stopped by MCCB Chicago recently for lunch. MCCB stands for Modern Chinese Cook Book. MCCB is listed in the Michelin Guide for 2019, 2020, and 2021. We tried 3 of their dishes, a spicey Signature Dry Chili Chicken. Maria loves pork belly so she got Traditional Hong Sue Pork (pork belly). We also had a very nice shrimp fried rice, and Jasmine tea. I started with Hot and Sour soup one of my favorites, however, this was the only dish that disappointed us.

We recommend MCCB if you find yourself in or near Chinatown.

We visited BBQ King House recently to try out their BBQ. If you’ve walked through Chinatown Square, you’ve definitely noticed the ducks hanging in the window at BBQ King House. As that might indicate, this place indeed specializes in duck, everything is fantastic. Hong Kong Style BBQ is very good, with subtle flavors which we enjoyed very much.

We tried the Peking Duck, Pork Belly, and BBQ spare ribs. My favorite was the ribs for sure, and Maria's was the pork belly. The duck is very good, but for us, a little goes a long way.

We definitely recommend BBQ King House and we will be back so we may see you there.

This is a 1-hour meditation. I used one of my personal large (15") Singing bowls from Nepal, struck with a soft mallet every 5 minutes. The sounds of birds singing and the light breeze blowing will enhance the experience.

As you watch, the Winter Sun will move and the shadows will drift across the kettle.

As a Buddhist, I am aware of how valuable meditation is. I hope you find them useful and helpful. Alternatively, you can turn off the sound and use your own favorite mediation music and use the cauldron as your focus.

Today there were 5 squirrels running around, apparently because one of them was ready to mate. Stanley we think won her affection and it appears he was able to mate successfully. We were super fortunate to have caught them in the act on the side of the Cottonwood Tree. The main action starts around 3 minutes into the video. Stanley Tucci is one of our favorite actors, so we have decided that he is named in his honor. 😜

We are hoping that they build their nest in our Cottonwood tree and we can film the babies as they begin to explore the edge of the nest and climb out onto the tree. Subscribe so you do not miss an episode of this drama.

We visit Chicago's China Town, this is Part 1 of a walking tour. We visit Rong City, a commercial kitchen supply. Maria loved it as she found quite a few things to add to her kitchen for baking and cooking. We also visit an Asian grocery where they have a good selection of fresh, meaning live seafood including live turtles, frogs, shellfish, and quite a variety of fish.

On a cold winter night while walking in Chicago we came across a Taco truck - Taquizas A Domocilio. We debated about getting a taco, but in the end, the smell of the meat cooking was too much to resist. If you come across this truck, be sure to give it a try, everyone was enjoying their food, not only the tacos. Plus the police were all eating there, and street cops will know where the good food is.

This is a 1-hour meditation video, with a bell every 5 minutes to refocus your thoughts. This video was shot during a recent snowfall, I found the tree swaying in the wind and the light snow falling very relaxing.

We are taking a driving tour of Dubai, in this video, we will take Satwa Road into the Satwa district, end up on 2nd December street and eventually on Sheikh Zayed Road - E11 through the Dubai Financial District with some amazing drone footage, and pass by downtown Dubai.

Welcome back to more of Stanley eating and hopping about. Stanley gets more active around 18 minutes in. Once he moved to the next corn cob he was running all over burying the kernels, so you see him running out of the frame and back in. I also was able to capture him burying his kernels quite a few times so you can watch him dig and cover the kernels.
