UIFI is a four day, three night leadership experience in Bloomington, IN where you can come together with other sorority and fraternity members from other campuses!

SFL will pay for your registration which includes food and housing! Applications close Monday, April 8th on Redbird Life🤩

“UIFI is an amazing experience. It was really helpful to learn how to become a professional, transparent leader in the SFL community. One of my favorite activities we did was a vulnerable conversation. It taught me to be open with my brothers and not jump to conclusions. By far the best thing I learned was how to hold hard conversations with people and learn the skills to drive the conversation to be positive. We wanted to acknowledge the great work of the members in our community has put into their philanthropies and community as a whole.

They have worked so hard and have accumulated a total of $84,151 philanthropic dollars averaging $39.23 per member and a total of 6,110 community service hours averaging 2.85 hours per member.

Our Sorority & Fraternity Life Office is partnering with the Piazza Center at Penn State to administer the Fraternity/Sorority Experience Survey (FSES). FSES provides an overview of behaviors and satisfaction with your fraternity and sorority experience. By completing this survey, you’ll provide valuable information that can better help us support your chapter, members, governing councils, and the sorority and fraternity community as a whole. Surveys will be due Monday, March 25th!

There will be an individual incentive and a chapter incentive🤩

Individual Incentive: Enter into a drawing for ISU shirts and SFL apparel.

Chapter Incentive: Two chapters with the highest percentage of completed surveys will receive an end of the year pizza or Jimmy John’s party (valued at up to $300 each)

Each member will receive a link from [email protected] and each survey will only take about 10-15 minutes.

Toby Atkinson, graduate class of 2005, is the chair of a Regional Alzheimer’s Association! She serves as the National Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and management programs at Cintas.

Along with many of her involvements on campus, Atkinson is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.🤩

We want to highlight that as of October 2023, Atkinson was crowned Mrs. United States👑

Happy 55th Birthday Sorority & Fraternity Life:

In 1969, the Theta Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Mu Upsilon Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, and the Beta Omicron Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha were established on campus following a reversal of a policy that banned Greek-lettered social organizations. Today, we recognize the Theta Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as they celebrate the anniversary of their chartering at Illinois State.

Over the past 55 years, Sorority & Fraternity Life has provided undergraduate students with opportunities to engage in leadership development, community service, philanthropy, and co-curricular education, making it a premier student involvement experience committed to all aspects of the collegiate experience.

✨AFLV RECAP✨

This past weekend, we had the privilege of taking 34 of our leaders representing all four of our councils to AFLV Central in Indianapolis. With this experience, our leaders got to network, grow personally and professionally, and build relationships not only within their delegation but also with those from their respective organizations!

We are proud to say that two of our councils received awards at AFLV🤩

CPC was awarded the Council Compass Award for Accountability in the three star category⭐️

NPHC was awarded the Council Compass Award for Collaboration in the three star category⭐️

We are so very proud of the work all of you have done! We can’t wait to see all the new ideas you’ll bring to campus.
