We are proud to have helped in bringing broadband to Montgomery County. Please help us get the word out by displaying one of these signs in your window or on your lawn. Sighs are available at the Mount Ida Area Chamber Office and Tourist Information Center, 124 Highway 270. Please see comments below regarding the Broadband Project:

There were three areas that internet was made available to in Phase 1, Mount Ida, Norman, and Pencil Bluff. Getting broadband to the County was planned as a 3 phase project. Work is still being done to get internet to other Areas in Montgomery County. I don't have an eta on completion, but please know that the project is still ongoing.

Please know that we are working under extreme guidelines when applying and implementing these phases. I am happy to connect and provide any additional information that you may have.
Like anything of this nature it is a balance between the business side and the overall availability of resources. We worked with Windstream to implement a plan that would be acceptable to the Arkansas State Broadband office which issues and regulates the grant we received to begin this work. This would have taken about 5-10 more years to do without COVID. The increase in state broadband dollars made it possible.
One of our biggest struggles is the fact that we do not have an electric cooperative or other entity that could provide service. We are thankful for what Windstream has committed and believing that they will continue to be a great partner.
Like anything this is a process and we are wanting to get everyone connected as soon and without any headache. The reality is that progress is sometimes a hard and long process. We are so thankful for the communities input and we too share a lot of the same frustrations.
I can promise you that the plan is to continue to expand broadband as fast and as convenient as possible. We have a website to capture your comments, suggests, and to also hear your complaints. This helps review and determine the best course forward when the next phases are available to begin.
Thank you for your interest.
