The Evans family hiked Barr Trail to the top of Pikes Peak during their stay at the Twin Rocks Cabin. The Evans have been creating Colorado memories at the Mariposa Cabin and Twin Rocks for over 10 years. Nadine and I value playing a small part in our guests' Colorado vacation memories.

Chris and his dirt bike buddy Alex from Ontario, Canada shared these pics of a deer chilling out at the cabin. Chris and Alex spent a few days at the cabin riding their KTM dirt bikes in the National Forest areas. Normally, deer are a common sight around the cabins. This is the first reported sighting of a deer at the Twin Rocks cabin this year.

Finding and naming interesting rock formations is an entertaining activity when driving and hiking in our Colorado mountains. Pika (similar to a rabbit or gerbil) Rock and Frog on the Rock are two rocks between Hwy 24 mile marker 270 and 273 near the Twin Rocks Cabin. See if you can find these rocks when driving west on Hwy 24 during your stay at the cabin.

Our guests Sheila and her daughter Gianna are enjoying bird watching at the Mariposa Cabin today. They had over 14" of snow last night. Due to a supply delivery delay, the Creator delivered all our Feb 2022 snow yesterday.
