🏰✨ Visiting Disney during hurricane season? 🌀 Don’t let a little rain dampen your spirits! Hurricane season runs June through November. We have gone during hurricane season numerous times. Remember to pack ponchos, embrace character meet-and-greets indoors, and enjoy shorter lines during those passing showers. 🌧️☔

🌪️🌧️⚡️Hurricanes, tropical storms, and tropical depressions, OH MY! Cruising during hurricane season will give you the lowest prices, but there’s a reason for that. If this is the best time of year for you and your crew, here are a few helpful tips:

📅 Hurricane season officially goes from June through November. If you are considering August, September, and October, just know you are likely looking at the highest possibility of weather issues. Sailings out of Florida to the Caribbean will be the sailings most impacted.

🛡️Get travel protection! Just do it - no matter when you sail

✈️ Book flights early in the day for less chance of cancellations or delays. Also arrive at least one day before embarkation day, just in case flights get canceled. You may find you have to hop in a car and hit the road!

🌊Go with the flow! Cruise lines reallllllly don’t want to cancel sailings, so they will do all they can to avoid that including changing itineraries to avoid weather issues.

Personally, we go on cruises during hurricane season more often than not!

😱Don’t let this time of year scare you away! ☀️The weather is usually nice and warm, and prices typically can’t be beat. 😎 Just go into it with knowledge and a game plan. Have you cruised during hurricane season before? Do you have another tip to share with us?

🐢 If you ever want to do something really special for someone who loves sea turtles, I’ve got an idea for you. No, I’m not suggesting traveling to the Galapagos Islands, just to the east coast of Florida! ☀️

Disney’s Vero Beach resort is HUGE on sea turtle conservation and turtles are found in the decor all over the resort. What’s more, guests have the opportunity to sign up for a guided early morning walk with a conservationist during nesting and hatching season. It’s quite an unforgettable experience and one a sea turtle fan would never forget! 🐢🪺

I absolutely love sea turtles and watching them hatch would be an absolute dream come true!

🦈😳 In celebration of Shark Awareness Day, let’s shine the spotlight on one of EPCOT’s hidden gems – Bruce's Sub House at EPCOT’s SeaBase! This JAWSome playground is themed after the wanna-be friendly shark from 🐡Finding Nemo. It’s packed with interactive elements to teach kids while they play. And, it’s got a pretty epic photo op! If REAL sharks are your thing, they’re here too. 👉 This pavilion is a giant indoor educational playground, but also has plenty of space to decompress, check emails (a reality for many these days), post photos or just sit. 🧘‍♀️

We love this area to cool down and take a break!

⏳🤠Here’s a piece of Disneyland history that you might not have heard! Walt and Lillian Disney celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at the Golden Horseshoe just days before the official grand opening of the park in 1955! 🎭 Through 1986, the popular Golden Horseshoe R***e stage show was performed here. (Think Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e on a smaller scale.) Walt loved the wild west vaudeville show so much, he invited 300 people to attend the first official performance as part of an anniversary celebration! 😍

🍔🍟 Today, the Golden Horseshoe is a two-level quick service oasis in the heart of Frontierland serving typical theme park fare. At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the very similar Diamond Horsehoe is a sit-down restaurant serving the menu from Liberty Tree Tavern.

❗️I have a bit of a controversial take on luxury travel. I’m a pretty big believer that luxury travel isn’t always 5-star resorts and first-class tickets (although both of those are nice!).

🌊Luxury can be as simple as having someone else plan and book all the details for your trip so there’s no stress on your shoulders. Luxury can be an itinerary tailored perfectly to you, without you having to lift one finger. Luxury can be as simple as seamless logistics, where all the details are planned and organized for you without any stress or wasted time.

🌴Just know that whether your idea of luxury is the 5-star resorts or it’s all of the things I listed above, I’m a DM or email away and ready to assist!

💦 Truthfully, anything wet will usually do for kids, but you deserve a pool that is just as exciting as the parks. Here’s why Stormalong Bay is hands-down the pool you’re looking for:

⛱ It’s not just a pool, it’s a 3-acre mini-water park! A lazy river for you, a shipwreck waterslide for them. Win-Win! 🌟

⛱ It has a SAND-BOTTOM! All the benefits of the beach, but without the saltwater. 😝

⛱ Poolside snacks and drinks from Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill mean you never have to leave-which is great because the kids won’t want to. 🍔🍹

Stormalong Bay is one of the reasons why Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club are my favorite resort! It makes for such an enjoyable resort day. I personally love the lazy river!

Sharing about FREE and FUN just never gets old. 🥳 At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian Resort and others (just ask when you check in if available at yours) there is a daily character hunt offered. 🔎Each day the resort’s mascot character is moved. Once you find it, take a photo with it and head to the front desk for your button and a location sticker. Search high and low each day for four days to fill your button with stickers. 🎉
