Raleigh area friends: Air Canada will begin nonstop service from RDU to Vancouver, BC in June 2025. Great news for those of us embarking on Alaskan cruises, or just visiting the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

I have such fond memories of this city from my internship at the Vancouver Aquarium many years ago! It’s a beauty!

It's important to know that as we enter 2025, three key travel rules are set to change! Staying ahead of the latest updates ensures your travel plans remain seamless and stress-free. Here's what you need to know:

✈️ On 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, new 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗗 requirements will be enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Americans flying with their driver’s license can only do so if they are REAL ID-approved. If you have not already made the switch, now is the time to visit your state's licensing agency.

🇬🇧 Starting on 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, Americans must apply and get approved for the new 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗧𝗔) when traveling to the United Kingdom. The ETA will be required for everyone regardless of how long they are staying in the U.K. or their reason for travel, including simply connecting through a U.K. airport.

🌍 In 2025, 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆/𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗘𝗘𝗦) will launch for all non-Europeans. Although the exact date is still unknown, the EES will be for travelers who do not have a short-stay visa or are not staying more than 90 days in a 180-period, typically all North American travelers.
