One of the hardest things to convey to people was we did SO MUCH MORE than just Disney or even just theme parks in general! And now we get to really let our talent shine brighter through this rebrand opportunity!

We are grateful for the rain to dampen the wildfire activity, but did you know fire is an important natural cycle in the ecosystem of the Virginia mountains? Disturbances to the forest can be helpful for plants that need sunlight or fire to grow and reproduce. As brush and bushy understory died off, it leaves light and space for new growth, or succession. This is required for some sensitive and endangered species such as turkey beard, Heller’s blazing star, mountain golden heather, and Peter’s mountain mallow! Even larger species like the table mountain pine need fire to release seeds from their serotinous cones.
