Big news, starting September 9th, there will no longer be a virtual queue for Tron in Magic Kingdom! You’ll be able to wait in the standby queue or purchase a single pass lightning lane. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure remains a virtual queue ride!
Another day another gorgeous view! If you haven’t sailed the Eastern Caribbean itinerary on Disney Cruise Line, it’s amazing.
En route to our next adventure! Going to unplug a bit and enjoy my family, but will be back to share all about our cruise later this week!
Kids loved their first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
We didn’t have park tickets for the day so we arrived just after 4 to knock out some rides before hitting the party! We also grabbed dinner so we could focus on party once it kicked off.
We utilized the standby queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to ride for the first time! Posted wait time was 40, but it was only 20.
We hit some trick or treat spots, saw some characters, tried some party food, and rode some low wait rides including Mad Tea Party and Space Mountain that have a Halloween twist!
We watched the first parade, saw the fireworks, and enjoyed the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular.
To finish the night, we rode Tron, just about a 15-20 min wait!
Today starts Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival!

Guess what kicks off tomorrow at Universal Orlando? You’ll never feel more alive than when you’re scared to death with 10 haunted houses, 5 scare zones, live entertainment, themed treats and snacks and more!

2025 Disney World After Hours dates have been announced!
The events begin on January 6 at Magic Kingdom, January 22 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and February 27 at EPCOT. Event times at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Over at Hollywood Studios, event times are from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Plus, you can enter the parks as early as 7 p.m. to make the most of the night with your friends and family.
Hollywood Studios dates are:
• January 22 and 29
• February 12 and 19
• March 5 and 26*
• April 1* and 30
• May 14 and 28
• June 4,11 and 25
• July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
• August 6, 20 and 27
• September 3
*On March 26 and April 1, Disney After Hours will run from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Magic Kingdom dates:
• January 6, 13, 20 and 27
• February 3, 10, 17 and 24
• March 3, 17, 24 and 31
• April 7 and 28
• May 5, 12 and 19
Last, but not least, EPCOT:
• February 27

Tickets range from $155-185 per person and go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on September 4. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale September 10. These After Hour Events are a great way to make the most of your time in the parks!

Ahoy, landlubbers! Arrrr ye ready to sail to yer destiny? Bookings for the Disney Destiny will open Sep. 12!
The Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 20, 2025. It will include stops at both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations in The Bahamas – Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
The maiden voyage will be followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Every sailing will include a day of fun in the sun at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay — some itineraries will even visit both! — and select cruises will feature more sun-soaked relaxation and warm-weather adventure in Nassau, Bahamas, or Cozumel, Mexico.

Epcot’s second entrance, the International Gateway, opened on this day in 1990! This is my favorite way to enter Epcot, right along side France in the middle of the World Showcase. How can you use this entrance? Stay at one of my favorite resorts, like Yacht and Beach Club or Boardwalk, just a short walk to the gates, or stay at a Skyliner resort, like Caribbean Beach or Riviera! If you love fireworks but hate crowds, you can see Magic Kingdom’s fireworks from behind Cinderella’s castle in Fantasyland! You will miss out on any projections on the castle and down Main Street, but you can show up moments before the fireworks with plenty of breathing room! Even with blue skies Arenal often has a cloud cap. See the black tracks, ash left from where the lava flowed during the last eruption in 1968? The other side of the volcano has lush green rain forest almost up to the top. This type of volcano only erupts every 300-500 years.
