All of my travel must haves… 1. 💧Reusable water bottle, especially in Europe. There are water fountains everywhere. 2. 🎧 pair your wireless headphones to the onboard entertainment with Airfly. No more cords or having to use the airlines headphones. 3. 🥶 Airplanes are usually hot as you are loading and those international flights can get quite chilly. Bring a sweatshirt and a travel blanket. 4. 💥I either travel with a portable sound machine or have white noise playing at night from my phone. It blocks out the noisy hallways in a hotel to ensure a great night sleep. 5. 🔌 bring 1-2 external chargers with you on day trips. I tend to bring 2 incase one stops working. 6. ✈️ airplane travel pack. I carry a small makeup bag that includes- pen, hand sanitizer, travel lotion, lip balm, charging cord, sanitizing wipes, eye mask and travel size Evian facial spray. 7. 🏖️ for beach destinations I always bring an inflatable hammock pool float. I prefer the Aqua brand and get the XL one and thank me later. 8. 💳 store an extra credit card with your passport. If you get pickpocketed (see my pickpocket reel for way to avoid it) you have access to money. And take pictures of the back of your card incase you need to immediately call to cancel the card. 9. 🕶️a couple pairs of non-designer sunglasses. I don’t know how many designer sunglasses I’ve either lost in the ocean or left behind. 10. 👛 a few adjustable and locking cross body purses. I’ve been to many beach clubs in Mykonos and Super Paradise is one of the most popular and my favorite! There are a variety of clubs on the beach ranging from high end to affordable. One of the most popular beach clubs is Super Paradise Beach Club. Spending the day here will kick off the party vibe as music and dancing starts in the afternoon. Depending how bougie you want to spend your day packages start from €230 per table all the way up to €2250. Prices are determined by the number of bottles, how close you are to the action and party size. Brach beds start at €50 for the back row and increase as you get closer to the water. Jackie O’ Beach Club over looks Super Paradise Beach and has the option for sun beds by the pool or on the beach. Here you will find insane views is Super Paradise Beach and one of the most entertaining drag shows in Mykonos. For a more affordable option- book Thalas Mykonos. Sunbed prices start at €25 and go up as you book rows closer to the water. Front row will cost close to €40 per bed, including a towel. Yep, it happened to me as I was boarding my train from Venice to Bologna. And, I thought I was being aware. NOPE! Use a cross body bag that stays close to your chest. Not dangling at your hip. * Never leave your personal belongings unattended. Don’t turn your back to throw something away, it takes mere seconds for your bag or items to be swiped. * Listen to your intuition- this was my downfall. I knew something was up and didn’t listen as I was rushing to board the train and get my luggage stored. * When your travel agent asks, do you want travel protection, the answer is always, Yes! Travel insurance protects more than just canceling your vacation. * Make a police report to support your insurance claim. * Wear a money belt- this is the most secure way to carry valuables, extra money and your passport. * Limit what you carry. * Keep your phone off the table. A lot of people have been asking about the catamaran we rented in Croatia. Below are a few of the questions and answers: Did you feel like there was enough space or was it cramped? We had our family of 4, our Captain and Chef onboard with us. The catamaran we rented is 42 feet sleeps up to 10. We were very comfortable. What’s the bathroom situation? Each cabin has a private full bath with shower. Water is conserved so it’s quick showers. Each marina we were in has bathroom facilities where you can take longer showers and shave your legs! Lol How many stops do you make in one week? We did a swim stop everyday in a beautiful lagoon and would have lunch then would sleep at a marina and explore a different island each day. Was it weird to be on the catamaran with 2 people you didn’t know? Our captain Duje and chef Josipaa became like family. We enjoyed their company. They taught us a lot of about Croatia, they told us stories about their families and we had many dinners together on the islands. We feel blessed to know them. How much does it cost to rent a catamaran for a week in Croatia? It all depends on the size of the catamaran/sailboat or yacht, the week you are sailing and how many people are going. We are on a 42ft catamaran sailing the islands of Croatia. Usually as we come into an island we spend 2-3 hours at a swim spot. Our cat has 2 paddle boards and 4 sets of snorkel gear. Today as we came into Korcula we had lunch and a swim in this private bay. The town itself is quaint and often called Little Dubrovnik with similar town walls. We spent a few hours wine tasting at Vitis Winery the local grape is called Grk. It’s a light white wine similar to a Sauvignon Blanc. After a beautiful dinner at Fundamentum we had drinks Massimo- a fantastic bar and terrace, built in the 15th century. To reach the top of this medieval tower you have to climb a ladder. Sailing Croatia has been a perfect combination of being on the water and adventure on the islands! Today, we docked on Mljet island. It’s a southern island off the Dalmatian coast, known as Croatia's greenest and one of the largest islands. Once docked we walked over to an e-bike shop for our rentals. It was €35 for 3-5 hours and €25 to get into the park. There are two salt water lakes in the middle of the park. Hop in, it’s refreshing but watch out for the sea urchins! Advice: take a picture of the map before you go and stop to take the ferry to the small island, explore the old monastery and the restaurant. This is also a great spot for swimming!
