The Valentin Imperial is in the top 10 Mexico adults only all inclusive resorts and we’ve now been blessed with two stays there! Message me for any assistance or questions! We stayed in both an emerald room/ocean front and a junior suite during our 9 day stay due to extending for mn storm. We ate surf n turf, Mexican, Italian twice, Asian, Thai, and French twice for our dinners!

Our Allie flew to Cancun today with a friend. Delta nonstop flight out of MSP. As her parents we arranged for a Kalido private transfer for them…the best we use on our trips. They were on a budget as 24 year olds- but they are at an adults only resort in Cancun where it’s 84 and sunny earlier today. Jealous- she sent this photo from the pool!

To all of my spring break clients…please have patience right now as airlines/resorts are bouncing back from this pandemic. Just because you paid 2K more for your week family vacation than past years doesn’t mean that service will be 5* all the time. Patience. Your travel agent can only do so much…but they have your back, all the time!

There is beauty is all sorts of vacations- I just prefer sunshine and beaches. Our Logan is in Denver this week- he loves snow boarding! He flew non stop Sun Country out of MSP - and is doing 9 days in Denver staying with a high school friend that goes to college in Denver! Cheaper than driving by far w gas prices. Airfare was cheap…snowboard gear extra costs were minimal. They plan to snowboard/ski 4 or 5 times during his stay- that won’t be inexpensive but great memories).

I booked a package for 2 to Cancun for our daughter and a friend for late April. We were not notified of any flight changes by the amazing tour operator that we booked through. I noticed the flight changes-luckily when I did as who knows what it could have cost the girls. With the changes the girls would have lost half of a day on the flight there day AND the flight on their return trip was totally removed:(. They automatically moved them to the next day flight-without us being notified. Unfortunately the resort is full and could not accommodate them another night so they had to consider their options. Last weekend I spent over 6 hours on this one booking. Plus, if they left this resort and went and stayed their last night at another resort we would have had the covid test issue-no longer included/on site and they would have lost their free quarantining stay if they did test positive…after several phone calls, a few times dropped as well…an agent assisted me with switching their flight to another airline both ways, at an additional $262 per person. Itinerary was fixed/looked perfect/printed a copy for my records. Low and behold I logged on yesterday and their invoice was changed-higher and included 2 flights there and back:(. So another call in and we made final payments as they were due by Tuesday of this week. I was told I’d hear something within 24-48 hours…I didn’t hear anything. Today I logged on again and itinerary if fixed-as we want it, zero balance.

To all my clients- it’s a hot mess at airports right now. Be mentally prepared for a flight change/cancellation, etc. Purchase last minute trip insurance too, if you haven’t already! All airlines are having flight changes and cancellations, often at the last minute. Arrive early to airport as well on your travel day(s).

As your travel agent…just be mentally prepared for any and all changes that could happen during your spring vacation!!!!

In 2021, Cancun welcomed 4.9 million Americans, over 700,000 more than pre-pandemic times, and it started 2022 with more air passenger traffic than 2019.
Cancun tops the list of destinations with best air connectivity for 2022, with a total of 56,951 flights, + 10 million seats.
This week alone there are more than 300,000 tourists in Quintana Roo, which is a number that has not been since since 2019.
It looks like this year will be a year of GROWTH, not just recovery.
