Our Guide timed our visit to the Valley of the Kings so perfectly that when we went into the Tomb of Tutankhamun, there were only two other people inside. we practically had it to ourselves for about 5 minutes, then a constant stream of people began and we knew it was time to get out of there - our once in a lifetime moment was over. Next we headed over to Seti I tomb which was also empty except for our group since you need a special pass to enter so most do not visit this tomb. Their loss! Day 4.

Medinet Habu, or Habu Temple, is without doubt one of the most beautifully decorated temples in Upper Egypt. This was followed by a visit to Luxor Temple after dark which was made all the more beautiful from its lighting. Day 3 of the Pharaonic Journey was pretty spectacular.

Saqqara never fails to impress, and the Serapeum with its huge stone sarcophagi for Apis Bulls was mysterious and amazing. Entering the Pyramid of Teti was easier than yesterday's Pyramids of Khufu and the decorations inside were fantastic! Then we visited Teti's Vizier's Tomb, Kagemni, with its scenes of pastoral life in Egypt; including one scene showing the feeding of a hog-tied hyena! Day 2. , ,

Museum Tours was founded in 1995 by Bill and Nancy Petty with the goal of providing quality travel to Egypt for individuals and groups. For over 20 years we have kept to our philosophy of never cancelling a tour because of too few participants. Over the years we have provided services for organizations such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Field Museum in Chicago, The Denver Museum of Natural History, The Museum of Man in San Diego, the Archaeological Institute of America, the Explorers Club. and others. But our primary emphasis is on individuals and small groups.
