Disneyland Highlight #8

Transportation... if you've been following along the past few days, you may have noticed I've never talked about transportation... and that is because of my very favorite thing about Disneyland... there is NO need for modes of transportation. All you need is your FEET! All on site hotels and a good number of off site hotels are all within walking distance of the parks and Downtown Disney. And, the parks and Downtown Disney are all connected and it is so easy to walk between everything! Got young kids??? This means you NEVER have to fold up a stroller!!! Game changer!!!

Disneyland Highlight #7

You may already know that there are multiple rides in which are represented at both Disney World and Disneyland. One of my favorite things is to compare how the rides are similar and different between the 2 parks and pick which one I like best. I won't say which (world vs land) has more of my favorites, but there is a clear winner in my book. Have you been to one of the destinations and not the other? 🥨🍔🍷Disneyland's Food and Wine Festival kicked off today at Disney's California Adventure Park!

You can choose to just buy items as you wish or you can buy a Sip and Savor Pass. The passes come with 4 items or 8 items.

I had the pass for 4 items and tried:
*Sloppy Joe Slider
*California Punch
*Mickey Shaped Macaron
*Creme Brulee Churro

🤗 My favorite of the items was the California Punch! It was delicious!

Disneyland Highlight #5

CARS LAND... what makes this spot special? This is one of the cutest, most well themed areas at the theme parks! If you have any CARS fans in your house, THIS is the place to visit! And, at least for a little while longer, this is the only place you'll see so much CARS in the parks... a new CARS land is slated to come to Disney World in the future!

Disneyland Highlight #4

This photo is me at the entrance to Disneyland park (selfie) and my view of the entrance to Disney California Adventure. Getting a park hopper ticket is an absolute must in Disneyland as the parks are literally SO close together it is really more like 1 large park and it is so incredibly easy to go back and forth between them.

Disneyland Highlight #3

Disneyland is the park that holds so much history with Walt Disney himself. This was the only Disney park he actually was alive and present for on its opening day. He even had an apartment built right on Main Street USA. Today, I took the guided tour: "Walt's Main Street Story Tour". We learned about some special and notable places on Main Street and got to tour Walt's Apartment. The history and nostalgia is so cool!

Early Entry... what is it and it is worth it?

*Early Entry is a perk given daily to on-site guests at Disneyland. You get 30 additional minutes of park time prior to the regular park opening time.

*Today at Early Entry we rode Peter Pan's Flight, Mr. Toad's Wold Ride, and Snow White's Enchanted Wish all before the park officially opened for all guests. By the time the park opened the combined wait time for these 3 rides would have totalled 55 min! And that was the wait time at 8am!

And if you know much about Disney World, you'll also notice that 2 of these rides aren't rides you'll find in Disney World! Snow White's Enchanted Wish and Mr Toad's Wild Ride are only available in Disneyland.

Disneyland Highlight #2

Avengers Campus... why is this spot special? Due to licensing agreements with Universal, Disney can't use most Marvel characters in Orlando, so the Avengers Campus is particularly special in Disneyland as you won't see most of the content here in Disney World! And... the rides in this section are a total blast! Webslingers and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout are must do attractions in my book! Did you know Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is the same ride system as Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios! But it is a totally different experience!

Disneyland Highlight #1

Grand Californian Hotel and Spa... what makes this spot special? This hotel has a dedicated entrance right into Disney California Adventure park and is a mere steps from Disneyland park. The convenience you get with hotel is simply unbeatable! And it is truly grand and beautiful.
